I still don't know the name of the male lead from The First Frost or the one from When I Fly Towards You.

I didn't even know Zhang Linghe's name before.

I only came to know his name because of Pursuit of Jade

Iirc your first post in the forum was about TWOT! I've never seen you being loud about any actor other than ZLH. Even Swathi, I mistook her for a newbie and was putting extra effort to explain things but she turned out to be a veteran

I haven't met anyone who's as loud as me though. It's good to have more people around. The more the merrier learn more names

I made the post before I hadn't even finished watching the full series.

I really enjoyed the first half, especially the parts set in the Eastern country.

The trailer gave me Descendants of the Sun vibes.

This was also the first drama of Chen Zheyuan that I watched.

My biggest issue with the drama is that it can be quite triggering because of the depression theme.

On top of that, it has a sad ending.

both the male and female leads die.

The novel's ending is even sadder, but thankfully the director toned it down a little in the drama.

The Eastern country episodes were my favorite.

In Episode 5, when he tries to defuse the bomb in the car but ends up driving the car away himself to save everyone else.

that scene was incredible.

Around the same time, The Best Thing was airing too.

Back then, I found it boring, and Zhang Linghe didn't impress me either.

I didn't even know his name at the time.

I only went back and watched The Best Thing after Pursuit of Jade

I actually liked Mr. Bad. I watched it in the original language.

The first few episodes are a bit slow.

Things get interesting when the male lead enters the real world and the female lead has to hide him from everyone.

The male lead is actually a character from the novel that the female lead wrote herself, but he's the villain in that novel.

After she gets rejected in a job interview, she casually makes a wish at a wishing fountain for an unforgettable love.

At that moment, the coin she wears as a pendant around her neck falls into the fountain.

Soon after, she encounters the male lead, who appears in the real world wearing ancient costume clothes.

At first, she has no idea who he is, but later she realizes that he's the villain from her own novel who has somehow come to life.

Another funny thing is that whenever the female lead gets into trouble and ask for help in her mind, the male lead suddenly teleports to her side.

He has no idea why this keeps happening, but the female lead eventually realizes it's because of the wish she made.

Later, when the male lead learns the truth, he tries to help the female lead find the "unforgettable love" she wished for.

He even tries to set her up with her boss.

But in the process, he ends up falling in love with her himself.

I read the novel first but I was still moved while seeing Chen Zheyuan act out those scenes. I prefer the novel ending

I've been following ZLH since his debut

@Swathi cuz she is old she's 80s born actress. Oh wait wdym she looks old?? You said it for 2 actresses now I'm overthinking if you mean something else....
