Even if they want to potray him evil, they can create some flashbacks of his evilness, being jerk, insensitive and greedy know. They should justify it correctly.

What favor? Supporting Tulsi has always cost him his happiness and love! Be it sacrificing his love for Ansh, taking care of Niyati and Reyansh for so many years on verge of getting divorce, supporting Reyansh for POA, supporting business and family without letting any one know, the only favor Tulsi has done is the o accept him! Yeah! they might show he doesn't know truth of Parth or may be they are changing Karan's character as well like they did with Parth to suit their story!

They can definitely change the character arc of Karan, but my point was that it is easy to preach than to practice.

Tulsi supported Karan Nandani against the family, yes Karan sacrificed his love but he did by his own choice, it wasn't Tulsi who asked him to do that. None of the things you mentioned he did was forced by Tulsi.

Also sacrificing love (as per S1) was immediately after he was accepted so he was more humble, aside it was not only Tulsi, even Nandani's parents reaction made him think that Nandani is unapproachable.

He supported Tulsi after she killed Ansh and also after she killed Savita, but both the times he didn't lose something personal. Ansh was his enemy and Savita was always against him. This time the person dying is Parth. The son he loves the most (unfortunately makers didnt develop that a lot), so he has forgotten wrong/right but only that she killed his son...
