Sunday’s episode was a roller coaster! 🎢 The CVs gave us a dramatic and intense weekend!
📱 Act 1: Burner Phone & Bedtime Talk
The episode starts with Avantika contacting the kidnapper. It looks like he is trying to leave the city with the cash, and she warns him never to call her again. But Dr. Aarambhi is watching. She sees Avantika holding an extra cell. This is what we call a burner phone, where I'm from. Aarambhi realizes she needs to get her hands on that phone soon.
Then we see Dadi calling DC, who is already looking fine and dressed for bed. He tells Dadi that Aarambhi was in danger mode today, and his favorite part of the day was watching her give the Tandons a proper verbal takedown! Dadi, drops a truth bomb: "If Aarambhi hadn't been married to that cheap Vishwas, she would have been absolutely perfect for you." 😭 DC instantly shuts it down, telling her not to bore him with marriage talk because his only focus is his mission: taking down the Tandons.
After they hang up, DC whispers to himself that he knows Aarambhi is married to the wrong man and that he could easily expose Vishwas and Avantika's affair to her—but claims "that's her problem." Meanwhile, we see Aarambhi walking to her room, repeating the exact same words: "It’s my problem, and I will solve it."
My Intake: These are two stubborn, hard-headed people! 😭 How can we get them to realize they are fighting the exact same battle and need to form an alliance?! Why can't they see they need to work together?
Act 2: The Termite Metaphor
Aarambhi walks into her bedroom and finds her husband on a video call with her mother, Manju. Vishwas is whining, playing the victim, and being a tattle-tale.
We get a parallel scene of DC chatting with his personal assistant. He is tracking all of the Neopulse investors because his grand plan is to be the sole investor, and they have to come to him for every single dime. Before closing his laptop, he stares at his background image, which looks like a gorgeous photo of a little DC and his mother.
Later, Aarambhi heads over to her parents' house and endures her mother’s lecture. Thankfully, Aarambhi's father tries to talk some sense into Manju, defending Aarambhi and mentioning he was right there when she was with DC. There is a table that is infested with termites. Manju says the hollowing out of that wood is exactly what Aarambhi’s stubbornness is doing to her from the inside out. Aarambhi doesn't argue with her mother; instead, she fiercely breaks a piece of the termite-infested wood right off the table. She apologizes to Manju, promises to call pest control, and when her mom asks why she's keeping the broken wood, Aarambhi declares: "Because I am going to remove all the termites."
My Intake: Vishwas is a cornball! What did a brilliant doctor like Aarambhi ever see in this loser? 🙄 And Manju is so frustrating. How can she not trust her own daughter's character over that Tandon family? But the symbolism of the termite was deep. The hollowing out of that wood is exactly what Aarambhi’s stubbornness is doing to her from the inside out. Her refusal to take DC’s help is going to make her crumble.
🪳 Act 3: Hiding in the Corner & The Sleepwalking Savior
Aarambhi gets home, determined to have that burner phone before tomorrow. DC hears a noise in the hallway and spots her sneaking into Avantika’s room. She secretly plants the termite-wood inside Avantika’s cupboard to trigger the pest control chaos. But just as she’s about to leave, she hears someone in the bathroom. She’s completely confused because there is already someone sleeping under the covers in the bed, and little Sanya is fast asleep in her play tent. Avantika is in the bathroom, and Vishwas is the one lounging in the bed. Aarambhi is forced to hide while the two get intimate. When Aarambhi tries to sneak out, she makes a noise, and Avantika panics, thinking the kidnapper is back. Just as Avantika is about to discover her, DC starts knocking on the door, pretending to be sleepwalking to distract so Aarambhi can escape. Aarambhi runs back to her room, disgusted, hurries into bed, and stretches herself out completely across the mattress. When Vishwas finally comes back, he has no choice but to sleep on the couch.
My Intake: These nasty people are sleeping in the same room right next to a child and do not care! How does Aarambhi still have her sanity? I would have set that entire house on fire a long time ago, grabbed my son, and left the country! Vishwas has the nerve to scream at her over a motorcycle ride, while he is literally doing the nasty with his girlfriend under the same roof! 🤬 GOOD MOVE, AARAMBHI, stretching across the bed! Keep that trash away from you. I wouldn't want him anywhere near me after he’s been touching Avantika either.
Act 4: The Cupboard Trap
The next morning, the termite plan works! Sanya starts crying about her wardrobe, and Dimple-ji walks in to find termites absolutely destroying everything. Avantika enters and throws a fit seeing her clothes all over the floor, and Dimple orders servants to clear the closet out immediately.
You can see the panic in Avantika's eyes because she remembers her burner phone is hidden in that cupboard! She starts digging through the mess. Aarambhi enters the room, playing innocent, acting as if she has no idea what happened, and volunteers to help clear the clothes. Avantika is sweating bullets, and the whole room notices how tense she is.
Avantika finally spots the phone, grabs it, and tries to hide it under some clothes. But the moment Avantika turns her attention to calm Sanya down, Aarambhi swoops in like a ninja, snatches the burner phone, and slips away! 🥷🏾📱 Avantika realizes a second later that the phone is missing and panics.
At the end of the episode, Aarambhi holds the phone, prays to God, and vows to destroy the person who kidnapped her son. DC catches her holding the phone, admires her strength, but forces himself to mind his business as he prays, too.
My Intake: Absolutely beautifully played by Aarambhi! A flawless, calculated plan!
