India have finished the tri-series in style! After a slow start to the tournament, they produced their best cricket in the final two matches (including a must-win league game against Afghanistan A), and have capped their campaign with a comfortable 66-run victory in the final against Sri Lanka A. Chasing a total of 377, Sri Lanka needed a big knock from at least one of their top-order batters, but it never came. None of the batters were able to convert their starts into a match-defining innings. The game swung decisively in India's favour when Yash Thakur removed Sri Lanka's top three in the first powerplay. Sadeera Samarawickrama and Wanuja Sahan got fifties and kept the required run rate under control, but Sri Lanka continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. In the end, their chase never gathered enough momentum, and they finished well short of the target.

The Indian bowlers played their part, but it was Vaibhav Sooryavanshi who all but knocked Sri Lanka out of the contest in the first hour of the match. The youngster smashed 94 off just 29 deliveries and brought up his fifty

in only 11 balls (the fastest in List A cricket). The left-hander was ruthless, striking 10 fours and eight sixes. Priyansh Arya, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Varma, Kumar Kushagra, and Anukul Roy also made valuable contributions as the Indian batting unit produced its best performance of the tri-series. With a daunting total on the board, the bowlers had a comfortable cushion to work with and finished the job with ease. Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi | Player of the match: I didn't think too much, just wanted to make the most of the first 10 overs and execute what I had planned. Wasn't really under pressure but I was failing to execute my plans (in the first few games). (On playing the 50-over format) I learnt a lot but I have already played a lot of 50-over games, but it was fun playing on different surfaces and conditions.
