Naagin 7 and the collapse of logic

I do not know where to start. I never thought I would write a post about Naagin, but Season 7 has really made me do it.

What even is this show now? There is no proper storyline, and the acting is weak throughout. Every five seconds it is just “Naagin hoon main Naagin” with no real substance behind it. The editing feels rushed and messy.

The episodes on June 6 and 7 especially left me confused. I do not even know what that rain dance, electric shock sequence, and Aryaman’s middle eastern style outfit were supposed to be. It honestly feels like the makers are making fun of the audience’s intelligence.

Why could they not just stick to the original idea of Naagin, like a simple revenge story? Why are they suddenly bringing in random country level issues? It all feels unnecessary.

It is almost absurd, like people from “Chingstan” can just enter and exit the country without anyone noticing. And the Naagins meeting some of the most powerful minds in the country (Ramos testing episode) during a sensitive situation, openly and without any concern for being recognized later, just does not make sense.

There are so many moments where basic logic is ignored. Characters are being made unconscious by unknown women, major figures (Pasha) are standing openly in front of everyone without disguise, and yet no one questions anything.

I honestly could go on and on pointing out inconsistencies. If I keep going like this, I might end up writing a whole novel about it myself. Lol!

Well written dear.Totally agree with what you say.Naagin series is a popular franchise and makers are unbothered about showing logic.If they don't have proper time to handle the project.why to even start it.As said by Ekta recently in the article.That she is handling many projects and is unable to give time to Naagin series.As viewers we have many expectations regarding the show.We want proper storyline and strong leads.The benchmark it had set.The standard is not even near that.The standard is going down the drain.Disappointing to watch.

Ekta had a chance to score good this season, initial ratings were chart topping despite the mid story and cheap AI... But well

The only season I enjoyed was season 1 with Mouni and Ada. To be completely honest Ekta ruined even this towards the end by making Shesha fall for Ritik. Shesha was a no nonsense practical naagin who had no inclination towards love and and despised Ritik for being a chipku. But then she ended up becoming a chipku herself and showing Yamini as the human villain through generations was ridiculous. Season 2 was a repeat of s1 with the only change being daughter replaced mom and assumed even her love was the bad guy. Left that mid way. Season 3 lost its plot entirely for me. Bela was supposed to take revenge for the apparent murder of her naag mate but she never once thought of that naag and was busy doing gullu gullu with the hero. And it became animal planet at one point. Never watched 4, 5 and 6. Finally thought of giving it a try with 7 and man that turned out to be the worst among all. Despite having a talented actress like Priyanka, the show went downhill. Inconsistent story telling, inclusion of patriotism, dragons and linking dragons to Lord Shiva when dragons do not exist in Hindu mythology, Changistan, Radhika and what not Dumbest of all seasons. I can write an essay on all things ridiculous about this season but frankly I have no energy.

To be honest Ekta doesn’t have as many shows as she once did. She could have chosen to focus on Naagin storyline but she managed to ruin it fabulously like always. There was a time when barring one or two shows on a channel, all shows were Balaji’s. Now she barely has one show on a channel. Why can she not do a decent job? She keeps recycling her own plots. She has been doing that for more than a decade now.
