Take a bow, Ms. Sriti Jha.
Aprajita's pain was felt in every scene, and how. The message was heavy, emotional, and incredibly important, yet you conveyed it with such honesty and conviction.
No one should ever have to stay silent about any form of physical or psychological violence.
And that dialogue was absolutely fire:
"Ek mari hui beti se behtar ek divorced beti hai."
This episode should be a template for every parent. When a daughter gathers the courage to speak up, she needs support, not advice to stay quiet, adjust, or endure abuse in the name of family or society.
A difficult message, beautifully delivered. Kudos to the entire team, and especially to Sriti for bringing Aprajita's pain, fear, and strength to life so brilliantly.
Side note: Malti has completely lost me as a character. Watching Appu relive years of trauma and finally find the courage to speak her truth should have been a moment that demanded empathy, heartbreak, and unwavering support from her mother. Instead, Malti came across as cold, detached, and emotionally absent. At a time when Appu needed someone to stand beside her unconditionally, Malti seemed more concerned with everything else but her daughter's pain. As a viewer, I felt more empathy for Appu than her own mother did, and at this point, I neither trust Malti nor see her as redeemable.
And they didn't show what happened thereafter.. whether Appu developed a fear of fire (which ideally should have happened, but didn't) how she managed to put off the fire. This should have been the incident which made her leave.. but somehow her alleged drowning did. Strange..
Kyunki dubey ji said she will be offered job
Since Lalit will continue to be around, they may show more incidents or they may move forward and show him harassing her more.
