It was a pointless "ban" to begin with.
After Dhurandhar, Ranveer has re-established himself as one of the most bankable stars in India and has joined the league of Ranbir Kapoor, who was arguably the only actor seriously in contention to become Bollywood's next superstar. At this point, many people would be willing to go against FWICE if it meant getting an opportunity to work with Ranveer.
Moreover, it was Farhan who intentionally delayed the shooting of Don 3 after the initial backlash from audiences, many of whom felt that Ranveer wasn't the right fit to portray Don following icons like Big B and SRK. The delay also coincided with a difficult phase in Ranveer's career.
Now that Ranveer has delivered one of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema, Farhan has suddenly remembered that he has a film lined up with him. It comes across as a straightforward cash-grab tactic.
Ranveer has every right to walk away from a project if he chooses to. Of course, if he is genuinely at fault, he should compensate Excel Entertainment or reach a mutually agreeable settlement. But such matters can be resolved through healthy negotiations rather than being turned into a public controversy for no compelling reason.
