I am not that conservative but I have never understood why especially the FL on ITV has to expose her back all the time. For me Nalla’s dressing is way too much exposure. She may as well go topless as that’s the only tiny piece of cloth being used on it. And she needs to dress down at home, constantly overdressed. And not appropriate around 2 growing boys.

Kids do not understand body parts. There is a reason why you slowly tell them what is private and what is not. I never placed such a huge responsibility on these writers to show anything sensible like taht. But mannat was written with some brains. DK is negative, ok. He is bad and evil. But mannat knows he has feelings right? The way she is non-chalant to his presence, shows she doesnt care. Neither vik cares. Both know he has feelings. And on top of that this dressing, given by the writers is interfering with viewing experience. I mean only these two have feelings, no one else has?!!

Thats how it is appearing. I am not blaming mannat. I am blaming writers to destroy one good character that they are writing

Sadhika you are mentioning thats its not about feminism or equality but then ur putting the entire onus on her to dress properly.

Also comparing office with house doesn't make sense. Whether u go to office or temple u need to maintain dress sense agreed. At home you are in a relaxed phase, so You don't dress much consciously so I don't understand why she should be judged?

Also we viewers know DK is crooked.

DK sharing his feelings doesn't make him crooked. Infact he played his game smarter. All will have sympathy that he gave 7 years and in that course he did imagine himself with Mannat and Dua. He is a human being after all & can have feelings & equation can also change.

He was frank & honest so why would ManVik doubt him when he also agreed to co parent with them ...

But does that mean Mannat now has to dress as per what Dhairya feels or thinks ? If thats the case then how come he developed feeling during Indore stay when she was wearing more covered dresses...

This whole criticism about dress thing doesn't make sense..

And this black dress she wore its for her own Sangeet mehandi & she wore it happily for her Vikrant. She hasnt given any signal to Dhairya.

Try to separate writing from the story/characters. The onus is not on the women, the onus is on writers to show their women. The writing team, direction team, costumes team failed here. Not mannat.

I had written one point on dressing and rest is about bad plot points. But only this caught attention. So no body is bothered about how bad they are writing the story?!

I never bothered much because the dressing has been like this in this show. But now it is interfering with the story. If DK is shown as a crook, why would i expect any decency from him. If a woman is shown to be not able to analyze the feelings of the man when he just confessed his feelings, then whats the use of her brain? That is how writers are making it look like. Writing and presentation is bad. I could not overlook it.

It is not clothes also, it is everything. Why is mannat staying in outhouse while romancing the dude openly. She wants to show they are a couple to Dua, then why is she not moving out of outhouse. Will you write like this? it is so so confusing.

If one has to talk about feminism and equality, let mannat have a profession and job!

FYI. IT is about writing and only writing. How they are projecting the characters.

Writing can not be separated from character.

Character sketch written on paper will only help to translate on screen.

If there is no vision, no plan on paper on how to take the character forward then how will the plot or the serial survive.

There should be a proper planning right...

No one is fighting here bhai...we are just discussing some points here..some of which may be very much intertwined with our lives and thats why some can relate.

Dressing will always catch attention bcz this has always been the main point of contention since decades were women get CAed first for their dessing when they get g*aped, molested or even teased including children and aged women.

Unfortunately its still the same...

My only point here is Mannat is not responsible what DK thinks or does..no one can control what the other person thinks.

Mannat has always maintained her love for Vik & continues to do so infront of everyone. She has never shied away. Everyone in SM is aware of it pretty well even the female vamps.

Also its DK who has feelings for her not the other way round so its 100 percent his responsibility to maintain emotional distance from her & not Mannat's responsibility.

Yes if she had tried to seduce him or gave mixed or clear signals then I would have hold her accountable but nowhere thats the case here..

I am questioning the fundamental flaw in your argument. Mannat is not dressed like this at her workplace. SM is Viks house, her future marital home, she is surrounded by friends and family. And it is her wedding. She is bride for God's sakes. She can dress whatever way she wants. Thats why I said happy dressing. When Mannat is looking forward to her future and she dresses boldly.

Are you trying to imply Mannat is seducing Vik and DK by such clothing??? Then sorry dont see it that way.

Malla has been living with Vik since the beginning of the show (from her childhood as per story). Y is his GF of 3 years. Yet he never got attracted to them. Both of them are far more skimpily dressed than Mannat all the time.

Mannat has been wearing same 5 suits (chest covered up) for 7 years yet DK is attracted to her and is in love with her.

For both men, they are in love with Mannat for her personality and not her dressing.

It makes them look shallow if her dressing is what will make them loose their sense of boundaries.

1 day of dressing up is creating so much of issue. Don't understand why...

7 years of wearing salwar suit in front of him as no value it seems if we are concentrating on Mannat's dressing up so much...

We are saying that we are not blaming Mannat for her dressing yet again in same sentence we are also adding that makers should not dress her up like that in front of DK but whatever character is written on paper Mannat will do the same on the screen as well right.....

Through this point we are indirectly again judging her for wearing a cleavage showing dress....

The discussion again circles back to the same thing...why SHE wore !!!

Men & Women both need to understand that women don't dress up or do things 24*7 for the other people..

We have our own world were we do things only for own happiness. Gone are those days were you have to do everything for other's happiness..
