Srini: "Finally, a match that could have truly gone either way till the last 3 balls." I know! It's been a while.
Smiles in the LSG camp after a long time. Their six-match losing streak is ended and so is their 8-match losing streak at this venue. They were put under pressure but they held their nerves in the end to emerge victorious and keep their teeny tiny hopes alive. There were a few rain breaks but LSG posted 209 in 19 overs on the back of Mitch Marsh's incredible hundred followed by handy 30s from Pooran and Pant. In reply, RCB lost both their openers cheaply. Shami nipped out Bethell in the very first over and Prince bowled a beauty to castle Kohli. RCB counterattacked with Padikkal and Patidar stitching a 95-run stand for the third wicket. The RCB captain in particular was hitting the ball really well. Prince came back to break that stand, he bounced out Jitesh in the same over and Patidar holed out against Shahbaz in the following over. RCB slipped from 104/2 to 112/5 but they didn't go down without a fight. Tim David took the attack to the LSG bowlers and scored a 17-ball 40. Krunal and Romario Shepherd hit boundaries to keep RCB in the hunt. 60 runs came off 4 overs (14- 18). With 20 needed off the final over, two spinners were eager to bowl. Pant decided to go with Digvesh and he delivered for his team.
Jitesh waisted 3 balls…why send him when he is totally out of form?!?🤧🫠
