As I also wrote: in ancient times fusion did easier happen than in modern times where division has become a strong concept.

Wrong thread
This is for the first time that I am reading about how much violence Gujarat faced.
Hating BJP, Modi and Shah is the trend and people jumps into following it without any solid reason. They only have 2-3 topics which they keep talking about, Manipur, withput understanding that people there are supporting separatists and demeaning Indian Army, how can modi help if they are not letting the Army enter there, then there is Vote chori, EVM hacking which is as fake as Rahul's intelligence, and last one is their current fav, Epstein File which talks about including Modiji in some deal, which he never agreed.
BJP might have many faults but it is not Anti-Nationalist, and this is a fact
Because most people don’t want to see beyond what suits their agenda and interests. Besides, how would they be able to get away with it if they spoke out about these things?
Factor in that Kutch is the largest district in India and Gujarat is a border state as well is not mentioned and ignored as much as possible for a reason. Because how dare a state that has to be on the guard against infiltrators and those willing to take them in from amidst them be politically vigilant and take all steps necessary so that it doesn’t end up becoming the next Sindh?
The fact that Gandhi is repeatedly brought up in a futile attempt to get Gujaratis to accept cowardice and appeasement as some sort of accomplishment and virtue also doesn’t sit well with us.
People assume that since Gujaratis are not really interested in joining armed forces as much they’re a soft community but most people don’t realise that wars can’t be won on bravery and numbers alone. A hungry army, an ill-equipped army is as good as a defeated army even before the enemy fires the first round of bullets at you. Our approach to even war is different as we believe in ensuring our logistics and finances are in place so that we don’t face an embarrassment when we do enter the war. That’s why you saw Modi strengthening the economy before we started seeing any big military action. Might is right is a well known fact; but might isn’t just muscle but also financial. When your pockets run deep enough, when more people have stakes in ensuring your well oiled machinery doesn’t hit brakes let alone stop, then the outcome of wars tilts in your favour even before you fire the first shot. An example of this would be the Ambani refinery… it’s in Jamnagar in Gujarat - an area accessible to Pakistan and certainly there’s always the possibility of infiltration or traitors who can inflict damage and try to sabotage it if not permanently destroy it for good. Ambani maybe a lot of things but stupid is certainly not a tag you would associate with the man; he sold a considerable stake amounting to 25 percent in the same to Saudi Arabia Royal Family. He could sell it because the government both at Centre and State level didn’t object him partnering with a foreign entity… and the sale was made to ensure that Pakistan knows what the consequences of any kind of nefarious activities by them might be, beyond the military misadventure that they would be inviting by forcing our hands. Saudi would help us finish them gladly. That sorta strategic thinking is a prerequisite for a war to ensure safety of our critical infrastructure projects but the prospective for the same is rooted in economics rather than purely combative policies of the armed forces.
This is my view on BJP and Indian politics -
I was never deeply into politics as a teenager. If anything...I leaned somewhere around the centre left without even consciously defining it that way. Like many urban young people growing up online...my views were shaped more by liberal ideas around individual freedom...openness... social equality and skepticism toward aggressive nationalism than by any strong ideological commitment. At that phase... I didnt particularly identify with any political party. In fact...I disliked the culture around politics itself and the constant noise..blind loyalty...corruption allegations and endless fighting made all parties look equally disappointing to me.
But somewhere in my early twenties my interest in politics started growing naturally. Maybe it came with maturity...i dont know...maybe with observing the world more closely or maybe with understanding how deeply politics affects identity, security, economy and culture. And slowly my views started changing. I found myself moving closer toward BJP and I am not sure why this shift happened but somewhere I leaned towards BJP and could connect with them. One major change I noticed within myself was reconnecting with my own roots. Earlier I had viewed tradition, religion and cultural identity through a more detached liberal lens. But over time... I think I started feeling that being connected to ones own civilization.. heritage and cultural identity is not necessarily backward or regressive. In many ways...I felt that leaving behind that overly “liberalized” mindset helped me rediscover parts of my identity that I had ignored earlier. That shift probably explains why my support for BJP became stronger in my early twenties and since then there has been no real turning back.
That said support does not mean blind devotion. I genuinely believe BJP’s first two terms at the Centre were strong in many areas whether it was infrastructure push, national security posture, foreign policy visibility, digitization, or creating a sense of decisive governance. There was energy... clarity and momentum. But in this third term... I personally feel some decline has started becoming visible and my opinion is this has nothing to do with the absolute majority that they didn't get...they are in center they can do many things but I don't know i am not seeing much energy from them. The biggest issue in my opinion is the overdependence of ground level leadership on Narendra Modi’s image. Many MPs and MLAs still seem to believe that people will automatically vote for them simply because Modi is the face of the party. That strategy may not work indefinitely. Elections are ultimately fought on local realities roads, jobs, corruption, law and order, civic administration, responsiveness to people’s problems. Voters today are far more aware and impatient than before. If ground leaders fail to perform 2029 may become much more difficult than many BJP supporters currently assume or tides may completely turns in favor of BJP considering the gulit ppl still hold it today for not giving them the absolute majority in 2024 or they will win as Amit shah is in full form and for sure they wud have devised a plan by now to win 2029 but my only issue is with Mps and mlas...why are they not performomh for the betterment of their constituencies?...The central leadership alone cannot carry the burden forever. Grassroots governance matters.
Even with all my criticisms... frustrations and disagreements...I still choose BJP at the national level because at this moment...I personally do not see a stronger alternative that aligns better with my priorities regarding national security... governance and cultural identity. I may have a hundred problems and a thousand complaints with BJP but until I genuinely find something better my support remains with them.
Coming to West Bengal ... especially in this elections....I had always felt BJP would perform strongly there and possibly come very close to forming the government. I even believed they might eventually manage to form a government through alliances or political maneuvering. But I honestly did not expect such a massive wave or emotional momentum. Looking at the videos, celebrations and reactions pouring in from Bengal...it feels like many people were carrying years of anger, fear, frustration or helplessness. The scale of emotional release visible on the ground makes the victory feel larger than just an electoral result. Somewhere even as an outsider that victory feels personal to me too. Seeing those celebrations brings a smile because it feels like people finally felt heard after a long time.
Now...with much of eastern India politically aligned with BJP or its allies...I believe excuses regarding border management and illegal immigration will no longer be accepted easily by supporters themselves. Expectations will become much higher. The government cannot keep blaming previous regimes forever. If they have the administrative and political control they sought then decisive action must follow.
In my opinion...the immediate priority should be securing borders and addressing illegal immigration with seriousness and clarity. Long term development of Bengal will naturally take time because reversing decades of political culture, institutional decay and economic stagnation is not something that happens overnight. Rebuilding industry, restoring investor confidence, improving governance and social stability all of this is a slow process. But security and border control are areas where people will expect visible action much sooner.
At the same time any durable transformation in Bengal will require more than political victory. It will need competent governance, strong local leadership, economic revival, protection of democratic institutions and genuine outreach to ordinary people beyond ideological battles.
Winning power is one thing; sustaining public trust is another and I feel in near future BJP will just be on winning spree and ppl will not turn their back until and unless they breach the trust of very own ppl who have elected them...let's see what is in store for us in future
U leaned more towards our culture and roots in your 20s because eventually u realised that it is the one that truly aligns with what liberalism really is. Our culture defines freedom, equality n inclusivity.
Yea there r certain pockets in the country which r regressive..but they don’t define Hinduism..and we can differentiate only on reaching a certain level of maturity. Thats also when we realize that BJP is the only liberal party in India
