But always ready to comment on Hinduism.
Always in a positive way... tell me about one comment where I write negative about this religious belief system (but please don't confound Hinduism with any p o l i t i c a l concept). To me - as someone who doesn't belong to any belief system, Hinduism is the best among all I got to know and my own spirituality has a lot what Hinduism also has...
As for the "shit" done by people to other people... it is always done by humans to humans - bad people doing bad things... in WB and elsewhere. I don't have to comment on every atrocity I read here in the posted tweets... I don't have a magical wand to change bad people into good ones...sadly.

Some of them started coming even before the results.. I think people were anticipating her defeat... Brave of them to have come out like this.. Perhaps the presence of CRPF would have also helped..
My dad was a staunch Congress loyalist, mum part of the regional TDP support cadre. Dad would distribute food during the election day for the hungry BJP as well as the Congress cadre and the food was about 10/20 kilos. In those days mandal kamandal politics were at peak and staunch bjp loyalist relatives would've debates with dad and nobody would've imagined there'll be a day like this. Dad's perception of bjp and my support for bjp began when Vajpayee ji lost his government by one vote, that moment still wells up my eyes. I wasn't even eligible to vote back then maybe in my high school or 1st year of inter back then. But that influenced my support and I've been a staunch bjp supporter ever since, I never got an opportunity to vote now I became an OCI. I'd still feel bad every time bjp lost an election, because looking at 26/11/2008 I know what it meant for our country. I was curiously awaiting some action back then, but strangely it's business as usual and frustrated I left the country. Again I've returned after 17 years with a hope for acche din because modi hai tho mumkin hai.
I think my first memory of a political discussion with my dad was when the Godhra riots happened. I already mentioned my family hails from Kutch. I have lived all my life in Mumbai.
We used to visit Kutch as often as we could to go visit family and relatives there as well as to perform pooja and get a Darshan of our Kul Devi and Devta. So we more or less saw just how much life sucked in Kutch, the roads were terrible, the electricity issues bad and the water issues were the worst.
Riots were a regular thing in Gujarat. But Godhra was not your usual beast. The fact that it followed the Kutch Earthquake, the way media was demonising the Gujarati community, BJP, Modi and Shah was so vicious that it was almost like they would’ve hanged them if they could using their pens and mikes alone if they could.
Here was a man who had been given the responsibility of the state after it was hit with the worst earthquake seen in 2 centuries, a man we hadn’t heard of before but whom we later found out was doing his very best to help the victims. The RSS was there, there was actual presence of a political figure on the ground who had power.
The riots then happened and it was as if the media thought that the man who was dealing with such a devastation wasn’t content with it and wanted more chaos and carnage.
I wasn’t old enough to know much but my dad talked with the people he could and while I don’t remember the exact conversation but he told me that the people he talked with in Kutch believed that a witch hunt was being staged for a man who was genuinely doing something worthwhile and the people who were actually present there hardly saw him resting amidst the rescue operations. He hardly could eat in peace, sleep well and they believed he was some kind of a monster organising these riots.
My dad believed our people there and I knew he wouldn’t trust just about anyone.
The fact that dad had memories of how the Bhopal gas tragedy was hushed up in comparison with what this was clearly made his mind that this was a very real and serious attempt to bring down 2 men who had barely stepped into the light as far as politics was concerned. They had been ground workers before and while they held positions within the party and had a considerable local influence thanks to their networking abilities, they hadn’t yet wielded any political power in the conventional sense and definitely never held any office before in any manner.
He asked me why would you go after what appear like 2 novices who were being mocked at and laughed at as political appointees by the BJP back then at least by the Congress. Why give so much weight to their appointment and why was their lack of political experience being raised when this country had seen Rajiv Gandhi becoming PM with lesser political experience and probably even interest. How is it that Rajiv was innocent of whatever befell the Sikh community post 1984 despite his actions during emergency and also his statement about the ground shaking when a big tree falls, but Modi was responsible for whatever happened in Godhra with far lesser power and political backing, let alone not even enough time in office for him to actually influence any kind of investigation. He gave Modi the benefit of the doubt based on all these things. Gradually we saw how he turned Gujarat around bit by bit, how things were getting better. Not saying that it is absolutely heaven and perfect now but the proof was in the pudding for us.
The fact that riots in Gujarat aren’t as frequent as they once were tells you a lot. People in other states often accuse Gujaratis of being Andhbhakts. But if you have lived through the kind of violence that Gujaratis have or your family has, then you value peace, the chance to live with your dignity a lot. Amenities, facilities etc are all necessary but if you can’t even step out of your homes without being worried about what may befall you then what’s the point if your roads are literally spotless and there’s a perfect utopia?
Gujaratis decided if we live long enough and prosper; we will get all the facilities too. Ergo, BJP keeps winning there and slowly it got to where it did.
Vajpayee and Advani didn’t face the kind of hate and witch hunt these two did. Those two could be lenient and therefore soft on even their opponents. These two were cooked, steamed, boiled and fried in the pits of hell. They’re now simply returning the favour to Congress and anyone who supports them. The fact that it helps the nation while it helps settle personal scores is simply a natural byproduct of the circumstances.
This is for the first time that I am reading about how much violence Gujarat faced.Originally posted by: EkPaheli

Hating BJP, Modi and Shah is the trend and people jumps into following it without any solid reason. They only have 2-3 topics which they keep talking about, Manipur, withput understanding that people there are supporting separatists and demeaning Indian Army, how can modi help if they are not letting the Army enter there, then there is Vote chori, EVM hacking which is as fake as Rahul's intelligence, and last one is their current fav, Epstein File which talks about including Modiji in some deal, which he never agreed.
BJP might have many faults but it is not Anti-Nationalist, and this is a fact
