We can talk about all these in retrospective now, but our parents including mine always been Congress samrthak and my mum used to say Congress ke alawa koi bhi country ko 5 saal theek se chalaa payenge, true that vajpayee needed 3 attempts to disprove that and for our generation to get the confidence to look beyond Congress. Thanks to social media everything is available for scrutiny now, otherwise 1 hour news from DD or 24/7 news channels content has been eyes and ears to our political awareness earlier.
I still remember news channels were gaga about RaGa and his dimple cheeks, how he travelled in Delhi metro and ate oil free steam dosa at a local popular restaurant in Hyderabad etc.

The Congress really never cared for our country as it is especially this family. Else in 1971, when we had 93000 of their troops as POWs we could have practically gotten them to give us Nankana Saheb in Kartarpur and back off from the rest of POK. A newly formed Bangladesh would have needed our support even more back then and we could have certainly negotiated in terms of territory along with a complete exchange of population. The territory we could have demanded should have been proportionate to the population we accepted and there should have been no wastage of time as far as fencing was concerned once the govts had completed all the necessary measures formalities and the population exchange was completely done. The Hindus should have been allowed to keep arms and special licenses for heavy arms and women in the areas should have been especially protected by enabling a mandatory military training or combat training or self defence training of some kind with an emphasis on weapons training for these Hindu women given the history of what happened in West Pakistan in the first place.
This family, their party and the government they’ve run has been a plague, a slow poison for our country. It’s astoundingly a miracle and a shame at the same time. Miracle as despite them we survived, shame because they still have the power to burn the country down if they are touched thanks to the very peaceful monsters that they have helped create, nurture and protected.
