Chapter 3

Few days later Jay came by and told Shivansh that women has agreed to meet you.

But she has a task for you to complete to see her and to see whether he is ready for the future.

Shivansh asks what task does she have for me?

Jay says I am not sure but she usually asks for 3 questions . If you answer all three correctly she will meet you but if you don’t answer correctly she either spares the person life or takes something away or lets them go just like that without any harm which is rare. Actually never heard of before.

That is why I was telling you to avoid meeting her but you didn’t listen to me earlier but now she knows you want to meet her so now you have hit your foot with a hammer.

Shivansh said I made a promise to that girl who is living as my guest. As a future king it is my duty to live upto my promise otherwise my kingdom will see me as a weak king and with everything going around the kingdom I cannot take that chance anymore.

Jay says do you realize what you are saying? What if something happens to you ?what will happen to him or even the kingdom. You don’t even have your own heir. Your nephew is too young to become a king. He is only 3 and he does not know anything. Your sister died at childbirth. All he has is you and Rajmata.

Shivansh says I know . I know.

Jay then says what are you doing? As your trusted minister and friend it is my duty to tell you . You must get married first and give a heir to the kingdom. Then if you want you can help her. Find some nice girl in the kingdom or any neighboring kingdom and marry her. You remember the princess of Jaigadh has been trying to get your attention for a while now. I think she fit to be your queen. She knows all the royal protocol and she was friends with Princess Shivani. So she will easily be able to accept your nephew.

Shivansh says enough . I will help the girl go back and then marry. You know people will start talking nonsense if I have a maiden here in my house and I go marry someone.

Jay : what if you are not able to help the girl what will you do? What if we are not able to open up the portal to send her back? Will you let your kingdoms down for an unknown person. She cannot stay as your guest for too long otherwise people will start talking.

Shivansh says I will see what is necessary and make amends to my decisions as needed but first I will try to help her.

In the palace in royal family room

A little boy no more than 3 years old was sitting on a silk mat suitable for a royal. His nanny was trying to feed him food but he kept asking for his Mamaji.
The nanny said Choti Kuwarsa Yuvraj is busy with something and he told me to feed you and take you to bed .

The little boy did not understand everything so he got upset because this is the first time his mamaji has left him alone to eat and he has not come to see him and it’s been almost a day and He has never eaten without his uncle. So the choti kuwarsa tells his daima (his nanny )to take him to the guest room immediately.
Daima is hesitant to take him there as she does not know anything about the guest. Plus yuvraj has not set any restriction for chote kuwarsa from going anywhere or meeting anyone. So, she sighs and tells other maids to bring food over there and says ok let’s go and she scoops him into her arms and takes him to where Prarthana is residing in royal residence area assigned for guests.

When Choti kuwarsa arrives at Prarthana apartment. The daima sends a maid to inform Prarthana that she has a guest and they would like to have dinner with her.

Prarthana was reading a book in Hindi while sitting in the baitak area . Then a maid comes by and says my lady choti kuwarsa would like to come and visit you here. He has arrived at your door and is waiting for your permission to come in?

Prarthana asks Choti kuwarsa?

The maid says yes Yuvraj ke bhanji hain.

Prarthana says can you take me to Choti kuwarsa.

Then they make there way to Chote kuwarsa and daima.

She sees a little boy who has eyes similar to prince in a lady arms.

Prarthana says pranam aap log please come inside.

Then they all walk into to the baithak area

Diama asks Prarthana beti Tum Kaun ho aur kaha ki rehne wali ho.

Prarthana says ma’am I am Prarthana and I come from Ahmedabad city and I accidentally got transported to the 15th century and landed here. And I am here till Yuvraj helps me find a way back.

Diama at first gets shocked then after thinking about something . She smiles and says don’t worry everything will be fine. Our Yuvraj is a good man and if he made a promise he will help you .

The little boy out of curiosity gets up and sits on Prarthana lap and holds her hand and ask her will you be my friend?

Prarthana says ofcourse who would say no kuwarsa. The little boys face lights up and then says Diama I am hungry can you serve my friend and I food. Then Chote kuvarsa says will you feed me to Prarthana. Prarthana says ofcourse but what is your name? Chote kuwarsa says my name is Dev. Then Prarthana says I will call my friend by his name. Is that ok Chote kuwarsa? Dev says yes only few people call me by my name. Mamaji, Nanima and Daima. Then Dev says Nanima has gone out of country for something very important and Mamaji is very busy. This is the first time I am eating my dinner without him . Then I remember attendants were talking about yuvraj’s guest and I thought about meeting you. You must be bored here and might need a friend here as you are new. So I came here with food and please feed me now I am starving. Prarthana smiled and started feeding the little boy and she ate after that while they were finishing their dinner. A maid came by and announced Yuvraj is coming here and then after few minutes Yuvraj came and . Dev ran to Shivansh and wrapped his little hands around Shivansh legs an hugged him. Then Shivansh picked him up. Then asks Dev you had your dinner right and you have not troubled our guest?

Alright time to tuck you in to your bed troublemaker. Shivansh looks at Prarthana and says I hope he has not troubled you in any way. I will be right back after putting Dev into bed. I need to talk to you . Then he takes Dev to his room and puts him in his bed and tells Diama to tell him bed time stories. Then he comes back to Prarthana room. He tells Prarthana I am going to meet the lady tomorrow and hopefully she will guide us through this situation. Prarthana says Dhanyawaad for everything. Shivansh says tumhara swagat hain.

Prarthana says may I come with you Yuvraj. Shivansh says I don’t mind but it would be best in your interests not to come.

Prarthana says Yuvraj I mean not to cause any trouble but I am also bored here and I want get to know this lady .

Shivansh looks at Prarthana and says I know but let me tell you women’s are treated equally here in my kingdom but an unmarried women with a unrelated man is highly frowned upon and people will look down upon and it will spread unnecessarily rumors about you and it’s my duty to protect your honor.

Prarthana says please I want to meet this women and see if I can help anyway to help solve this problem. Maybe I can give her some clues or anything.

Shivansh sighs and says ok I will try to find a Chaperone for you. Then you also visit the kingdom on your own as well. Shivansh says Shubh Ratri and Prarthana says Shubh ratri

Then Shivansh takes a leave.

Prarthana goes to her guest bedroom and falls a sleep with hope in heart that next morning will umeed ki kiran in form of sunlight.

That's so touching.i don't think princess shivani will accept his nephew like Jay says.prarthana daima scene was nice.prarthana becoming friends with dev was so cute.no wonder that in that century people gossip about unmarried woman with an unrelated man.i wonder whether shivansh will marry prarthana to protect her honour.

Princess Shivani was Shivansh sister and Dev’s mom and she died in childbirth . I did not have a name for Princess of jaigadh because she may not pop up in the story at all.

I tried to be realistic about 15th century with how women’s were portrayed and ways they possibly behaved.

As for PraShiv wedding hmm I have few possible ideas . 1. They get married she has to stay as queen and 2. She goes back or 3. Shivansh marries her but he lets her go. now how they get married is going to be interesting. I got 2 ideas in my head lol.

I got question answer idea from Singhasan Battisi in 2014 when I was still rewatching abhiya lol.

I trying to show Shivansh as a strong character with leadership qualities and trying to slowly build a soft spot in Prarthana heart for Shivansh

Let’s see how PraShiv get married or not and if she goes back or not and possibly if she goes back she may comeback?
