Idk how to put but the characters were really running around like a cartoon and huffing & puffing all the time Feng Suige is the most 'not princely like' prince I've ever seen and Fu Yixiao don't even ask, in the beginning of the novel she was working in a brothel/music house! I kept reading and reading till 50 chaps hoping it would get better but it didn't. FSG took FYX as his concubine and his childhood sweety(someone who knows him longer than FYX) came and slapped FYX I was like, why am I even going through this torture

@beanstalk04 they both were quibbling 4y olds

imo CZY can pull both modern and costume. The last he filmed was Tang dynasty drama if you find his costume fits hard to watch now then do tell me your review when the Tang styled drama drops. I would like to hear you both rant

Guys, the Gongsun character in the novel and in the drama feel almost the same to me.
