Epilogue: A Simple, Heartfelt Beginning
The soft morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a warm golden glow across the small, intimate garden. The air was filled with the gentle hum of nature waking up—the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves, and the faint scent of jasmine blossoms that adorned the space.
The scene was simple but perfect—a stark contrast to the grand, extravagant weddings Geet had once planned for others. Today was about something far more precious: the union of two hearts that had endured storms and silence, doubt and distance, only to find each other once more.

Maan stood at the edge of the garden, his eyes searching for Geet. His tailored kurta fluttered gently in the morning breeze, but his gaze was fixed and steady. The anticipation of this moment filled his chest like a warm flame. He had waited so long for this day—not just to say vows, but to promise forever.
Then, she appeared.
Geet, radiant in a simple white saree with delicate embroidery that caught the light like whispers of their past, walked toward him barefoot, her smile serene yet shining with all the love she held within.
As she approached, Maan reached out, taking her hand gently in his.
“Geet,” he said softly, “I promise to hold your heart with care and to walk beside you through all of life’s seasons.”
Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, and she squeezed his hand.
“And I promise to be your strength and your peace, your laughter and your shelter. To love you not just in moments of joy but through every challenge that may come.”

Their families and a handful of close friends gathered around—no lavish decorations, no extravagant rituals—just a circle of love and support. The atmosphere was filled with quiet joy, the kind that speaks from the soul.
The priest’s voice, calm and steady, led them through the vows, but Maan and Geet barely heard the words. They were lost in each other’s eyes, in the knowledge that this was their true beginning.

After the ceremony, Geet slipped her hand into Maan’s as they walked through the garden. The rain clouds gathered again, but this time, no one hurried to find shelter.
Instead, they stood beneath the open sky, letting the first drops fall on them like blessings.
Maan pulled Geet close, and as the rain soaked their clothes and cooled their skin, they laughed—free and unburdened.
“You know,” Geet whispered, her voice full of wonder, “I always dreamed of a big, grand wedding.”
Maan smiled, brushing raindrops from her face. “But this? This is the kind of wedding that truly matters.”
They danced barefoot in the rain, their steps slow and sure, the world around them fading to a blur.

Later, wrapped in a warm shawl on the porch, they watched the sunset paint the sky in hues of pink and gold.
Maan looked at Geet, his heart swelling with gratitude.
“This is home,” he said simply.
Geet leaned her head on his shoulder.
“Yes,” she replied. “With you, I am finally home.”

As night fell, stars sparkled overhead—a silent witness to a love that had weathered time and trial.
In the quiet moments, Geet and Maan knew that the real journey was only just beginning.
Not the journey of a story told in grand gestures, but the everyday love built in whispered promises, shared dreams, and hands held through all of life’s seasons.
