18:15 IST, 12:45 GMT: Punjab Kings, the runners-up in the previous IPL, lost just two matches while chasing last year - one in the final and the other against Rajasthan Royals in the group stage. Can RR stop the Kings' juggernaut? Hello everyone and a warm welcome to the 40th game of the Indian Premier League. Surprisingly, we haven't witnessed 200+ scores for three consecutive games. What's in store today?

I cannot understand ..what is it ?

Ab uski boondh pe lagegi" (अब उसकी बूंद पे लगेगी) can be translated as:"Now it will be applied to her/his drop."

Rajasthan Royals kicked off their campaign in style by winning their first four matches. They've won only one of the next four matches. Barring a couple of matches, at least one of the top-three batters has performed well every game. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (357), Yashasvi Jaiswal (255) and Dhruv Jurel (232) have done the bulk of the scoring. But their main concern has been the lack of runs from Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer. Both average less than 15 and their strike-rate has been middling. In the bowling department, Jofra Archer has been fiery and is providing early breakthroughs in the powerplay. Nandre Burger hasn't been as effective as the English speedster, but he can be lethal even if there's little assistance for the pacers. In Bishnoi and Jadeja, they have two contrasting (wicket-taking and economical) and experienced spinners. In Sandeep Sharma's absence due to a side strain, Brijesh Sharma and Tushar Deshpande have been employed. While the bowling unit and the top-order look settled, it'll be interesting to see if they make any changes to address the middle-order issue.

More than half of the season is complete and Punjab Kings are still unbeaten. No wonder they're sitting pretty at the top of the points table. Barring their first game, none of their run-chases have gone to the final over. And, in the only match they batted first this season, they won by a handsome margin of 54 runs. Not only are they winning everything, but they are doing it comfortably. How else would you describe their record run-chase in the last match where they hunted down DC's 264 with 7 balls to spare? Saying their top four batters are in good form is an understatement. Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, Cooper Connolly and Shreyas Iyer have all scored 240+ runs this season. They're all averaging 40+ and 164.38 (Connolly's) is the lowest strike-rate among the four. Shashank Singh and Marcus Stoinis have also done their bit in the limited opportunities. It's fair to say that their bowling hasn't been up to par, and fielding errors haven't helped their cause. None of their bowlers are on the top-25 wicket takers list. Punjab haven't tinkered with their winning combination throughout this season, sticking with the same XII. Expect that trend to continue in their final group stage match in New Chandigarh this season.
