Assume Gautam was conceived on the very first day of Mihir Tulsi marriage (he has been mentioned shaadi k baad pehli santaan, so definitely he wasn't a "pre marital baby ". Aside as per the assumption, we need to assume that unless specifically mentioned, everything in this show season 2 happened as season 1. So definitely Gautam was conceived after Mihir Tulsi marriage.) Gautam was born when Mihir was supposed to be dead and Tulsi sees the dead body. Assume that Tulsi had a pre term labour seeing the dead body and Gautam was born 8 months after Mihir Tulsi marriage (it was shown that Tulsi was nearing full term and Mihir says Gautam shouldn't come out till the time he is back before leaving)

Now you take in season 1, by the time Mihir wakes up, Gautam had already started sitting without support. That happens around 7-9 months. Taking the lower side 7 months for the sake of convenience. So Mihir wakes up atleast 15 months after his marriage with Tulsi. Now even in this show it's not shown that Mandira and Amar/Mihir had a relationship while Mihir was still on hospital bed just out of coma, either case Mandira and Mihir at the earliest had this relationship at 15 months of Mihir Tulsi marriage, say Karan too was a premature, born 7 months months after this(Mandira sat in the 7th month Puja along with Viranis at the insistence of Savita, something they have shown even in this season.) Then Karan was born at least 22 months after Mihir Tulsi marriage

Now you take Mihir Tulsi were married for 38.5 years when Parth comes to transfer property, since this property transfer happened at max 6 months after the anniversary of Mihir Tulsi we saw at the start of this show, and after that the 6 years leap happened and they say they are married for 44 years, so considering the decimals, at max 6 months duration could have been there before Tulsi Mihir 38th anniversary and Tulsi leaving SN before the leap. Also Parth couldn't have done the property transfer unless he was he was at least 18, so Parth was born at max 20 years 6 months after Mihir Tulsi marriage. Now since we taking that unless specifically mentioned everything that happened in S1 holds true here, and both Manthan and Parth in S1 were full term children (neither was a preterm), so this Parth has to be considered full term as well, so being born 9 months after getting conceived, he was conceived latest by 19 years 9 months of Mihir Tulsi marriage. Karan born 22 months after Mihir Tulsi marriage, he becomes 17 years 11 months at the time Parth was conceived at the maximum (and that is assuming the bare minimal time for everything)

Karan married Tanya 2 years before consummation (as S1 has Tulsi scolding Karan for keeping Tanya at bay for 2 years), and say he married Nandani 1 month prior to that. So in both cases the Karan's marriage happened while he was not even 16 years of age and could not have done anything by himself (legally) even the consummation of his marriage happens when he was a minor on the insistence of his guardian.

Point to Note

While we might still say that only his first marriage with Nandani holds and Tanya's marriage with her was null and void, but Karan can by himself not be held accountable for this marriage and consummation. No court or moral judgement can prosecute a child for doing something he did as child on the insistence and pressure of his parents/guardians. It is the family and priest who performed Karan Tanya marriage who need to be punished. So if at all we say we need to accept everything that happened in season 1 unless specifically mentioned, then Karan was the victim here not the criminal/cheater. Tanya if was below 18 at the time of this marriage, then she too is a victim, else she was an adult making informed decision.

Also Karan returns to Nandani the very day Tanya had found about her pregnancy (as shown in S1, Tanya comes home and tries to tell about the pregnancy but before that doctor informs Nandani is awake), obviously she would realise that within a month, so Karan returns to Nandani (and doesn't have a physical relation with Tanya though he does meet her) after he becomes an adult. Second marriage isn't legal so there was no reason for Karan to annul that marriage once he was 18.

And the second leap of S1 doesn't hold here as they have shown Karan and Nandani have been together for years while Nandani raised Parth.

Hence he never cheated/did bigamy as an adult and what he did as a child was because he was the victim

Makers should look at this to understand the blunder they have cooked yet I know they wil ignore all this logic just the way they chose to cast Akashdeep as Karan's son and Mihir's grandson

Exactly...I completely agree with you on this. If we really look at S1 objectively, none of the protagonists were “doodh ka dhula.” Not even Tulsi. That is what made the storytelling so layered. Let’s start with Tulsi.

There was absolutely no reason for her to give away Gautam to Kiran and Aarti when Mihir himself wasnt on board. That “mahaan” decision had consequences, and Gautam turning out the way he did somewhere traces back to that choice. Then comes Ansh she practically became Gandhari to his actions. She overlooked his behavior for far too long and instead kept blaming Karan for everything. The same Tulsi who once said “Karan is my son” went on to say “you are ruining my son’s life” when it came to Ansh. Even in the Karan Tanya Nandini track, her decisions were questionable. She was the one who pushed Karan into marrying Tanya, encouraged that marriage to move forward and even went to the extent of convincing Nandini that Bhumi had accepted Tanya as her mother. This is the same Tulsi who wanted Ansh to accept her as a mother yet here she was asking Nandini to step back from her own daughter. She essentially disrupted their lives and then chose to walk away just before last leao. Despite all this her goodness intent and moral core were so strong that they overshadowed her flaws. That is why the audience still rooted for her.

Now coming to Mihir He was flawed on multiple levels...A physical and emotional cheater, took advantage of someone he believed to be mentally unstable, doubted Tulsi despite her constant insistence on her integrity when Harshs DNA test results were negative....never acknowledged Karan as his son until tulsi bridged that gap, turned blind (almost Dhritarashtra like) when it came to Ansh. His one consistent trait was that he claimed to love his family and Tulsi but his actions often contradicted that as he emotionally cheated tulsi for 20 yrs and conciously physically cheated tulsi once.

Karan is another complex case - Yes he loved Nandini deeply but he also made several questionable choices:

He lied to Nandini about not loving her just to be Tulsi’s “ideal son”, agreed to marry Tanya when he could have refused, consummated that marriage just coz tulsi asked to...Tulsi wasn't there to monitor anything...rather he could have said he cannot move fwd with tanya but he did bcoz he promised Tulsi and did deed willingly and consciously regretted it later which was unfair to Tanya. Later when Nandini returned he emotionally drifted between both which can be seen as emotional infidelity. He even consummated his marriage with Nandini without telling her the truth about Tanya that’s undeniably wrong. Though he had plans to confess doctors mentoned Nandini is emotionally vulnerable...so it basically looked like he took advantage of an emotionally vulnerable woman...he consumated without confessing which is cheating.

And post leap while he claimed to love Nandini, he ended up using Tanya more as a support system for the children while failing as a parent himself. So yes he loved Nandini, but he was far from perfect.

Now Nandini - She is often seen as a victim but even she had questionable decisions. She knew what Ansh was capable of, yet agreed to marry him. Who in their sane mind will marry a molester...no one forced her to marry Ansh but she did...she could have refused but she didn't. Even after deciding she wouldnt continue that marriage she went along with him instead of taking a firm stand. Her choices added to the chaos even if she suffered the most later.

So clearly all protagonists had flaws.

Now looking at the antagonists:

Mandira started off as a strong independent woman ....a doctor from a good background. Falling for Mihir during his memory loss wasn’t wrong in itself. But once she knew the truth, she chose obsession over dignity and turned destructive going to the extent of using her own child for revenge.

Ansh....less said the better. He was written as outright evil from the beginning and his end was a direct consequence of his own actions.

Tanya is interesting because she is more of a low key antagonist. She was evil when was introduced but turned good later but she entered a marriage knowing Karan didn’t love her, ignored her own self respect even after he made his feelings clear. After Nandini returned, instead of stepping back she constantly inserted herself emotionally. Tried to claim space in Bhumi’s life, even though Bhumi was Nandini’s daughter and later began portraying Nandini as the one who came between her, Karan and bhumi. And after last leap tanya literally lacked dignity. Despite knowing Karan loved Nandini, she continued to hold onto a relationship where she wasn’t truly respected. Over time that insecurity turned into bitterness, making her a grey to negative character.

So in the end what made Kyunki stand out was this:

Protagonists were flawed but redeemable their goodness outweighed their mistakes however I think Mihir cannot be redeemed as per S1...I never like Mihir of S1 who did so many kaands but other protagonists were redeemable somewhat.

Antagonists on the other hand let their darkness completely define them and that balance is what made the narrative so compelling.

the best thing about tulsi and makers are how openly she talks about where she went wrong. its never like other serials that hey bhagwan mere sath kya hogya. its like she made mistakes and acknolwdged

in s1 when kiran came back and apologized tulsi kept the grudges. this season too she shobha vrinda stting together and tulsi talking about how she went wrong thats why gautam is so angry. same with ansh she understood and spoke openly how she didnt understand nandini being scared of ansh or karan repeatedly saying something is wrong between ansh and N. same with mihir, whenever mihir did something wrong tulsi spoke about the hurt, and took time to forgive. thats something today's tv serial makers forgot how ekta and tulsi showed that

thats why audience stood by her and other fls in serials.

yeah yeah definitely, she listened to ansh so much and was cursing karan , to the point when mihir said shes behaving sautela. and later she apologized to KN both if that she had listened previosuly switzerland thing wont happen. she was gandhari like you said and mihir was the same. always spoke against tulsi

mihir not acknoledging karan as his son was what made things so serious. karan ruining virani industries, went with sahil and divided the family, ruined mihirs image in front of everyone, gave shock to tulsi. bt again positive side is he ddnt have any issue with tulsi. was nice to shobha as well. he knew since start that mandira tulsi was sam cheated by mihir and it made tulsi think as well. and once he got into virani house and got to know about mandira he was reformed. so bad karan was forgotten.

his biggest issue with nandini was his arrogance that nandini meri hai. none saw ansh coming. and ansh planned tanya too so nandini couldnt confess. the way karan supported N was amazing, and he was with her till the end. again he made mistake with tanya, if he was in mentaly proper state he could have rejected marrying her and took care of bhoomi. bt again serial right, they need that twist turn

bt karan not taking care of his family meant tanya and kids getting alienated from him and later tanya becoming full blown vamp. chain reaction

i personally didnt care for ronits mihir lol he was so bland like a roommate for tulsi who gives his point for everything. yawnnn

i persnally love the KN tanya triangle and the drama whcih carried the show near 1000 epis lmao. i understand tanya and everyone. bt yeah she was gtting pathetic in the end. karan tanya tashan was good too, he being done with her and says haa tanya bohut hua divorce le lete hai. amazing

So I just thought no revisiting the old episodes to check what exactly happened. And here we are. Wherever possible I have taken preterms and even considered that Mihir Mandira had the relation on the very day Mihir woke up from coma (while that's not possible he was in bed, and Mandira till then was considering him a pateint) Practically it should 1-2 months after this

Oh I know he didn’t cheat on her. Rather he didn’t want to even consummate his marriage with her because by the time she woke up, he had consummated the marriage he had with Tanya, legal situation regarding the same being a different matter.

I would consider him a cheater if he enjoyed the situation and trapped vulnerable women by fooling them and emotionally taking advantage of them. In this case, that’s the furthest thing from the truth.
