I love to comment on these things but after a point agree to disagree. Cause I don't know what experience others have so why should I waste my time convince others

Like harini and I were replying to each other and she/he mentioned tanya being modern girl fell for karan and then karan drove her to vamp level. But we have seen how noyona behaved. If tanya was such a big mother India why her both kids turned psycho lol. She's as good of a mother as anupama. And this doesn't mean karan didn't screw up parenting somehow. He did

Balaji shows gen 2 always starts with husband being so busy mourning wife that they neglect kids.supoosed to be romantic but eh also absent parent

taking from S1 perspective, while I didn't dislike Tanya until they made a proper vamp blackmailing Nandani. But she never a positive (forget milky way character), she was at max grey

She entered to drive a wedge between Karan and Nandani. She deliberately caused confusion between Karan Nandani to ensure Ansh gets his chance with her. She knew Karan loved Nandani and vice versa, yet she brought confusion because her friend Ansh wanted that.

Later they did show that she changed but that was because she started loving Karan. It wasn't like she changed, but just that Karan became more important to her than Ansh, so now she wanted Karan should get what he wanted. So she tried bringing Karan and Nandani together.

It was never that she did the right thing, it was always that she did things which would be a happy moment for the most important person in her life..

for me tanya had natural progression. her turning vamp increased longivity thats all. what else could she be, mahan aurat uniting husband and ex wife? meh boring

yeah she did things to suit herself and karan. backed out from marriage when karan told her. for the actual wedding bhoomi was there she lovd her and this time didnt ask karan cause everyone pressurized him.got 2-3 yeas of happiness then nothing

But she took a calm decision of filing divorce and DV/marital rape even when such law didn't exist. Still don't do sadly. Realized KN relationship and supported N against her family.

But it's like fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you. Ansh tried the second time and tulsi was like fck this. But it wasn't shown villain getting killed. It was shown at mother's plight for killing son. Even their hospital scenes were so sad.

Exactly...I completely agree with you on this. If we really look at S1 objectively, none of the protagonists were “doodh ka dhula.” Not even Tulsi. That is what made the storytelling so layered. Let’s start with Tulsi.

There was absolutely no reason for her to give away Gautam to Kiran and Aarti when Mihir himself wasnt on board. That “mahaan” decision had consequences, and Gautam turning out the way he did somewhere traces back to that choice. Then comes Ansh she practically became Gandhari to his actions. She overlooked his behavior for far too long and instead kept blaming Karan for everything. The same Tulsi who once said “Karan is my son” went on to say “you are ruining my son’s life” when it came to Ansh. Even in the Karan Tanya Nandini track, her decisions were questionable. She was the one who pushed Karan into marrying Tanya, encouraged that marriage to move forward and even went to the extent of convincing Nandini that Bhumi had accepted Tanya as her mother. This is the same Tulsi who wanted Ansh to accept her as a mother yet here she was asking Nandini to step back from her own daughter. She essentially disrupted their lives and then chose to walk away just before last leao. Despite all this her goodness intent and moral core were so strong that they overshadowed her flaws. That is why the audience still rooted for her.

Now coming to Mihir He was flawed on multiple levels...A physical and emotional cheater, took advantage of someone he believed to be mentally unstable, doubted Tulsi despite her constant insistence on her integrity when Harshs DNA test results were negative....never acknowledged Karan as his son until tulsi bridged that gap, turned blind (almost Dhritarashtra like) when it came to Ansh. His one consistent trait was that he claimed to love his family and Tulsi but his actions often contradicted that as he emotionally cheated tulsi for 20 yrs and conciously physically cheated tulsi once.

Karan is another complex case - Yes he loved Nandini deeply but he also made several questionable choices:

He lied to Nandini about not loving her just to be Tulsi’s “ideal son”, agreed to marry Tanya when he could have refused, consummated that marriage just coz tulsi asked to...Tulsi wasn't there to monitor anything...rather he could have said he cannot move fwd with tanya but he did bcoz he promised Tulsi and did deed willingly and consciously regretted it later which was unfair to Tanya. Later when Nandini returned he emotionally drifted between both which can be seen as emotional infidelity. He even consummated his marriage with Nandini without telling her the truth about Tanya that’s undeniably wrong. Though he had plans to confess doctors mentoned Nandini is emotionally vulnerable...so it basically looked like he took advantage of an emotionally vulnerable woman...he consumated without confessing which is cheating.

And post leap while he claimed to love Nandini, he ended up using Tanya more as a support system for the children while failing as a parent himself. So yes he loved Nandini, but he was far from perfect.

Now Nandini - She is often seen as a victim but even she had questionable decisions. She knew what Ansh was capable of, yet agreed to marry him. Who in their sane mind will marry a molester...no one forced her to marry Ansh but she did...she could have refused but she didn't. Even after deciding she wouldnt continue that marriage she went along with him to Switzerland instead of taking a firm stand. Her choices added to the chaos even if she suffered the most later.

So clearly all protagonists had flaws.

Now looking at the antagonists:

Mandira started off as a strong independent woman ....a doctor from a good background. Falling for Mihir during his memory loss wasn’t wrong in itself. But once she knew the truth, she chose obsession over dignity and turned destructive going to the extent of using her own child for revenge.

Ansh....less said the better. He was written as outright evil from the beginning and his end was a direct consequence of his own actions.

Tanya is interesting because she is more of a low key antagonist. She was evil when was introduced but turned good later but she entered a marriage knowing Karan didn’t love her, ignored her own self respect even after he made his feelings clear. After Nandini returned, instead of stepping back she constantly inserted herself emotionally. Tried to claim space in Bhumi’s life, even though Bhumi was Nandini’s daughter and later began portraying Nandini as the one who came between her, Karan and bhumi. And after last leap tanya literally lacked dignity. Despite knowing Karan loved Nandini, she continued to hold onto a relationship where she wasn’t truly respected. Over time that insecurity turned into bitterness, making her a grey to negative character.

So in the end what made Kyunki stand out was this:

Protagonists were flawed but redeemable their goodness outweighed their mistakes however I think Mihir cannot be redeemed as per S1...I never liked Mihir of S1 who did so many kaands but other protagonists were redeemable somewhat.

Antagonists on the other hand let their darkness completely define them and that balance is what made the narrative so compelling.

So I just thought no revisiting the old episodes to check what exactly happened. And here we are. Wherever possible I have taken preterms and even considered that Mihir Mandira had the relation on the very day Mihir woke up from coma (while that's not possible he was in bed, and Mandira till then was considering him a pateint) Practically it should 1-2 months after this

Mihir might have never physically cheated Tulsi as per s2 but he has emotionally cheated on her....if u rewatch the epi where noyana claims Abt ONS ...tulsi remembers Mihir and Mandira hug from S1 which was apparantly after that 20 yrs leap...so he is cheater here too😂

We aren’t told that Niyati is Rio’s mom by birth, we are simply told she’s his mom. She will be his adoptive/foster mother for sure.

Shraddha was shoehorned in to show Eklavya and also make it seem like Ansh was capable of love and goodness as he had once loved a woman but then things went wrong perhaps because he was too possessive or something, I can’t remember atm exactly, but she pretended to fake her death but proclaimed they had had a love marriage, iirc they met in college. They made it seem like losing her turned him into a monster who would ultimately destroy Nandini for no fault of hers because he got obsessed with her and lusted after her.

Ansh was raised by a rotten father figure and turned like him. Rio has been raised by Karan and the tragedy will be that he will turn like Ansh ultimately. Ansh had no chance to be good because he got a bad start from quite literally the moment he was born in a way as Raj kidnapped him from the cradle. Rio despite having a good upbringing and love, with Nandini’s as well as the Virani blood will turn rotten because his conception is not out of an act of love but dominance, violation and abuse. He didn’t need to be rotten per his circumstances post birth, but his fate was sealed pre birth will be the thing.

The question remains - who shoots Rio in this season when he breaks bad? Tulsi, Nandini or Karan?

Ansh eventually became Mihir’s laadla in S1 and honestly, I really dont want to see a repeat of that dynamic in S2. Like you said what will make this track interesting is how each character reacts to Riyansh. And out of everyone Nandini will be the most affected especially if he actually turns out to be her son. Because think about it… thats not just a twist, thats trauma on another level. Your own son,own blood being a carbon copy of your abuser that is horrifying. Its not just about facing the past, its about reliving it in a completely new form. And we have already seen how deeply Nandini was affected by Ansh. So if this angle plays out it has the potential to be extremely intense emotionally.

Tulsi, on the other hand... I feel will eventually come to terms with Riyansh. Thats been her pattern initial resistance, then acceptance once she processes the situation. But the journey to that acceptance is what matters. Also, I have a feeling S2 might exclude or alter certain parts of Ansh’s past, like his involvement in Vishal’s death. In fact, it wouldnt be surprising if they completely change Shobha’s backstory as well ....maybe she was never married to Vishal in this version unless the makers explicitly bring it up later.

At this point, its quite clear that the makers are selectively picking elements from S1, not following it fully. So we probably have to view S2 as its own adapted narrative rather than a strict continuation. That said, based on the promos...especially the background score and overall tone...Riyansh doesnt seem like a character meant for redemption. He feels closer to Ansh than to Karan, despite Karan raising him which is why I feel his fate might already be sealed and if that happens he biggest question is....who will take that final call?Because if history repeats itself, it could very well be Tulsi again. The idea that Tulsi might have to shoot her own grandson, just like she did her son… that is a haunting parallel. But this time the dynamics are different. Back then Karan stood firmly by Tulsi. Now? Karan loves Riyansh like his own blood. So will he still stand by Tulsi if things go that far? Or will this create a rift?....and if Riyansh turns out to be Nandini’s son, then Karan’s position becomes even more complicated....how does he support Nandini through something like that while also dealing with his own bond with Riyansh?...The track on paper is actually very strong. There is a lot of emotional and psychological depth they can explore. But the portrayal so far feels a bit underwhelming. And honestly, casting is a concern too....Akashdeep, while powerful as Ansh, doesnt convincingly fit the look of a 25 - 26 year old here. That disconnect might end up affecting how seriously the audience takes the character. So overall the idea has huge potential but execution will decide whether it becomes impactful like S1 or just another missed opportunity and I feel this track will not be impactful because it's not possible to accept Akashdeep playing 25-26 yr old
