When Nandini first found out she was pregnant she asked Tulsi what do I do. Tulsi has no clue what to say and Karam is mum as well. No one except Savita is happy with the news of her pregnancy.
Nandini was even willing to undergo an abortion and it’s only when Karan finds out that her life is at risk because medically she’s not fit enough that he intervenes and stops her. She was at risk of dying and that’s what prompts Karan to step up and say that she can have the child and he will accept that child as his own as it’s her flesh and blood.Karan himself didn’t just happily accept the child instantly. It took him being scared of losing Nandini to accept her pregnancy. Later when she went into coma, he was avoiding Bhoomi like the plague. It was again him being questioned by Tulsi regarding his own promises to Nandini and the obligation to an innocent child that he finally accepted to father Bhoomi too and spoiled her rotten.
They’re probably gonna show Nandini had the child because she was unable to undergo an abortion owing to the risk of death that no sane and legit doctor was willing to take given it could cost them their career, license and life for good. But she left the child at some orphanage for adoption and somehow Karan was always tracking her. He couldn’t make her change her mind about keeping the child and raising him as ultimately he couldn’t ask her to just move past her trauma like it’s NBD.
Maybe they can show Nandini had postpartum depression by merely being around the child and she got suicidal or something. To make sure Nandini didn’t harm herself or worse, Karan somehow managed to convince everyone that her child had died.
In both scenarios, Karan takes responsibility for the child and decides to raise him as his own as he can’t bring himself to just walk out and abandon a child for no fault of theirs. He has lived through that - Mihir abandoning and rejecting him throughout his childhood, he couldn’t do that to any child even when it was Ansh’s; especially when he carries Nandini’s blood too and is as much a part of her as Samaira and Raunak are.They would have to shoehorn in how Parth happened here, changing the backstory of Karan and Tanya’s marriage entirely. Probably it maybe shown that Karan married Tanya before Nandini to convince her that he was in love with Tanya so she could marry Ansh as Tulsi wanted. Ansh had tried to convince everyone soon after marriage that Nandini was pregnant; of course she wasn’t. But the news causes one thing to lead to another and Tanya really does get pregnant.
Later it’s revealed that she was hand in glove with Ansh all along to separate Karan and Nandini from day one. Karan divorces her and gets custody of their son or she ends up dying while having Parth. Eventually when Karan marries Nandini, he’s a single dad and she accepts Parth as her own son.
Karan can’t bring himself to abandon a child of Nandini’s when she chose to mother his son born to another woman.
Eventually, he ends up connecting with Niyati who may have been an old friend or classmate or something. Basically someone he felt was safe, genuine and nice enough to raise a child who was someone else’s as their own. And ever since he’s been living a double life, where one side of his family/life has finally caught up with the other. The real fireworks happen when both collide and explode in his face.
My theory is a bit diff...I am not sure but Karan just accepting Tanya as his wife doesn't sit well with me given the events of S1. So my theory is he married her and she turned out to be Evil. He went through a lot while divorcing her and discovered she is preggers and applied for parth's custody. Meanwhile nandini came to SN and she became his emotinal support. Meanhile Tulsi realizes Ansh is her son. Despite knowing Karan is father to a child Nands falls in love with him but Karan being mummas boy sacrifices his love and same S1 story follows and this Riyansh is born from ANsh's assault. If not this theory I am not sure how else to fix tracks of S2.
However Ansh was Savita's Aankon ka Tara...How come she wudn't track Ansh's son if he is Nandini and Ansh's son ? or is it like Karan comes to know that Riyansh is Ansh's son from Niyati but considering Nandini would go into Trauma looking at this kid who is look alike of Ansh... he is just taking care of him ?
