but this Niyati woman seems good..
She wants Rio to be acquainted with Indian cuisine. She even had Tulsi got into her home and fed her water when she felt Tulsi wasn't in good shape despite not knowing him
I don't think Rio should be that evil
He doesn’t have to be evil to begin with but he ends up like that when he finds out the truth of his identity and if he ends up being compared to his biological father rather than his adoptive/stepfather, he may just as well embrace the identity thrust upon him.
Remember Eklavya didn’t start out as evil either, he was raised well by Shraddha and later by Damini and Gautam. His sojourn into the dark side begins when he’s compared to Ansh when the ugly truth comes out.
Besides, we don’t know what shade Niyati herself may turn to later on. Not like in daily shows anything is fixed. She may not know Karan has a wife other than her at the moment or she may know, we certainly don’t know what she’s aware of yet. If she feels betrayed and used by Karan, exploited to raise his nephew/stepson born to his wife owing to an assault his half brother did on her, where Karan felt uneasy, guilty and uncomfortable with the idea of abandoning the child and yet owing to some unknown circumstances as of yet not raise him in SN with Nandini, then Niyati is bound to turn too and so will Rio with her when he feels that his adoptive mother has been unfairly abused and treated by Karan while his own biological mother abandoned him while she’s also in a certain way responsible for the death of his biological dad.
One cannot even blame Niyati entirely for going rouge if Karan has indeed used her so callously. If she’s aware of everything and still chose to go ahead with this situation, then she might turn evil because she may have felt that after nearly 2 decades and some she deserves better and he owes her the legitimacy of a wife as well as the respect afforded to one especially when he’s relied on her to shield his wife from her trauma without any regard whatsoever for her feelings. Because it’s quite possible that she may have grown attached to Karan and Rio to the extent where despite logically being aware of the truth and willingly agreeing to the situation, she’s been living this charade for so long now to preserve and raise this boy that now she genuinely believes that Karan is her husband and Rio is her son.
This is not like Noina or Mandira forcing themselves on Mihir when he clearly doesn’t want either of them. This is perhaps a woman who willingly walked into this agreement to raise this child but now that the charade has been going on for so long that she’s lost perspective of what’s real and what’s a lie as she’s been made to live it day in and day out for decades - as a wife, as a mother. The logical truth is known to the brain but the emotional involvement and investment she’s made have blurred the lines around what’s fake and what’s not for her.
This is no different than someone embracing an identity as if it were really their own even if they were literally kidnapped and forced into accepting it. Subconsciously they know who they are but that truth has been buried deep and they are conditioned to believe the reality they’ve been made to live with for years now.
For all we know, this might be the reason she’s being taken to the doctor. Kinda like she’s developed DID or bipolar or something.
