Yes Rakshit's brother overheard mamiji but did feel the need to inform others.I think mami wants property so she is after Rakshit as he is the eldest brother.He also had a wife earlier.

did rakshit's mami mention that she wants a share in the property? if so, not sure if she's allowed to do so since im not even sure who has how much share..the mami did say rakshit's former wife was responsible for something, i saw one of rakshit;s brother being arrested in the flashback and mami did say rakshit and his former wife are responsible for the father's dementia state in a car accident or something like that...the parents' wedding anniversary scene was nice but definitely is fillerish scene..
