Devdutt Padikkal: It feels great. I have been working hard to get to where I'm. I think it's a lot to do with self-belief that the management has given me. And also I have made a few technical changes and now I'm getting the results. (six over extra-cover against Siraj) It was probably my favorite shot of the day for sure. It was important for us to assess and to go about it. We were chasing around 210 and we needed to go well in the powerplay. 100%, we have seen what Tim, Jitesh and Romario are capable at the death and so far we have been doing that consistently and hopefully we will continue to do that.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru win by 5 wickets and climb back to second place on the points table. Gujarat Titans did well to post a strong score of 205 earlier in the evening, but RCB’s batting unit produced a composed chase in front of their home crowd. Sai Sudharsan starred with a brilliant century to lay the foundation for GT, though RCB’s bowlers were sharp at the death, nailing their yorkers and slower deliveries to keep the scoring in check, apart from an expensive final over from Krunal Pandya. In reply, Virat Kohli was dropped in the opening over and GT paid dearly for that miss. His stand with Devdutt Padikkal proved decisive, shifting the momentum firmly in RCB’s favour. Although RCB lost a few wickets through the middle phase, late hitting from Tim David and Krunal Pandya ensured they crossed the line comfortably

Just like that I asked. Didn't know why those 2 teams were named.

Don't worry SRK s team will always be there.

At the end of the powerplay we were in a good position but we were unable to take wickets. When a batsman gets dropped on nought, it's tough on the fielder, but it's important how you come back. We had our moments. I think they batted brilliantly in the middle-overs. When I was batting, when Krunal bowled, it was gripping and I wanted to take my chances. (on Sai Sudharsan) He was quite upset how he got out in the last two games and I hope he gives more strike to me in the powerplay in the next game.

Why is he blaming Sai?smiley29

Shubman Gill: "Definitely, I think from 16th to 19th we couldn't get any boundaries and couldn't get as many runs as we would have liked. Those were crucial overs for us. At the end of the powerplay we were in a good position and it was about taking wickets in the middle overs and were not able to after the powerplay got over. [The Kohli dropped chance] When a batsman gets dropped on nought it's always tough on the fielder but it's important how you come back into the game. We had our moments but we were not able to consistently able to hit the length balls. And I think they batted beautifully in the middle overs. [On giving the over to Suthar] When I batted the balls Krunal bowled, it was gripping a little bit so I thought maybe we could try and a few wickets would have brought back my game. [On Sai Sudharsan] he had been disappointed with how he got out in the last few games, but he bounced back. In the next match, hopefully he gives me a little bit more strike in the powerplay (chuckles)."
