Our preview billed this as a clash of contrasts and so it turned out to be. Gujarat Titans tried to play risk-free, with their openers putting on a 128-run stand in 12.4 overs. The pace they scored at meant their undercooked middle order had to finish the game hard, which they failed to do as RCB's wily bowlers pulled things back. RCB, in contrast, got going in the chase and never stopped. They kept going hard even when wickets were falling, and in the end, they end the day with a very convincing victory that shoots them up to second on the points table. The defending champions looking very much good for the money, like a team that can go ahead and do it all over again. For Gujarat Titans, the same questions that have hung around their heads from the start of the season will continue to haunt them. About their tempo. About their middle order. And if they need to adapt to play a more modern, aggressive brand of cricket.

But it is fact.

Expected more from both the teams, they even have a better core

Devdutt Padikkal: It feels great. I have been working hard to get to where I'm. I think it's a lot to do with self-belief that the management has given me. And also I have made a few technical changes and now I'm getting the results. It was probably my favorite shot of the day for sure.
