Your house help must not be paying tax so why will she care about what happens with taxpayers' money? Obviously she will vote for the party who gives her free money

Why would any low income person leave their free monthly allowance? They are ordinary people whose main worry is food, water and daily living expenses not nation growth or international relations. Every rupee counts for them. Besides it's not like they are getting affected by the side effects of freebies. It's the middle class that's getting affected. Why would they leave their freebie for the middle class who's already richer than them?

The only solution is complete ban on freebies of any kind. But who will tie the bell on cat's neck? I have very less hope from judiciary... But i guess they are the only ones who can stop this.

Women, especially mothers, are usually more sensible in spending money smiley16

Khali velle admi to daru cigarette me uda denge. smiley36 basically earlier they just got one time allowance for daru during polls. But now they get assured monthly allowance for the same by various parties. They don't explicitly name it but how & where that money is spend can be subject of research. smiley23

And the best part is half of the daru & cigarette companies are either owned by them or they have shares in it. They are basically getting their money back. Giving it to the public is just a farce.

This time voter turnout is so much more in TN -- actually happy to see some progress.

CJI has only "expressed" worry regarding increase in freebies culture..nothing more than that..seems nobody cares about stopping this freebies culture..

People want money for medicines and many other stuff..so they will continue to vote for parties that gives them more..
