Seher Hone ko Hai: Episode Discussion thread 1 - Page 103

April 17th Episode

Somehow between all the laughter, tears and heartbreak we made it to 99 episodes. I'm not expecting a very happy 100th episode.

I don't even know what to say about today's episode. I can't handle this engagement drama. Mahid said it will be an act so is the engagement fake or the whole "relationship" will be fake? Either way it just gives me eeks, the gloating smile on Nazima's face just pissed me off. You know she is going to do all kinds of other drama. Really wanted to take Wasim's offer to have her killed. LOL

The group of community members that came to visit Seher were so sweet. Those Khalas blessings to God's ears. They were cute, gushing over MaHer. If only they knew.

Our poor MaHer. Seher was in her sunshine color as Jo puts it but the light felt dimmed today. I suspect the bubbliness and the smile we have come to associate with Seher will be gone for a while. At least the genuine versions of them.

I am happy to see Kausar can sense when Dr. Fareed is troubled and upset. She couldn't see that on Mahid's face? She hasn't been able to see when her own daughter is putting on a face for her.

Bechara Mahid. What a crappy situation he has ended up in. He finally felt alive for the first time since his mom's death. He had a reason to smile and it all imploded. When he said consider it done to Kausar and walked away; the way his broke just broke. Can you imagine how much pain he is in, putting a final nail in their relationship? 😢 😢

I want to be so mad at him but I can't even do that because he is doing all of this for all the right reasons.

I'm giving Mahid a new nickname; our little onion. I've always said the character has so many layers but it also makes me cry so the name works.

The precap - Not a happy precap at all. I hope the "engagement" drama is with an invite and we don't have to suffer through an actual engagement. Just show us the invite and jump 2 years so we can move on.

When they do reconcile in the future, I'm going to need someone (Tahir) to fill Seher in on all the details, fake engagement, why Mahid was in the hospital; all of it. I need all of these dots to be connected in the future.

Is it just me or the hate SHKH is getting on ITV sub on Reddit is really getting out of hand now?! Like initially I get the criticism about potential promotion of child marriage and all but now ppl are just blindly hating on this show!

Like even a simple scene they are making something big out of it. The scene where Seher fainted on Mahid’s shoulder after he rescued her from her injury in recent episode, someone posted with caption oh adult knows she is a minor and is aware now

“ they are saying it as if they were getting intimate! Such a misleading title and intent of the post. So even if a normal scenario a 16 yr old is badly injured and a 22 yr old saves her for humanity sake, that becomes romance now????

They really did put the romance scenes of MaHer on hold as soon as Mahid found out Seher’s age, at least from Mahid’s side he still hesitates to touch Seher!

And then Mahid’s engagement to Nazima, well I hate that but why are they trolling the show for cousin marriage as cousin marriage is allowed in Islam?! Though I was born in a Muslim country and not really in favour of cousin marriage (it's also not as common in my region) but that is allowed in Islam. And Mahid and Nazima are not even 1st cousins!

There are have been more problematic stuff shown on some of the other shows but they don't talk about it and instead glorify it?!

I get they don't like the show but now they are stretching it too much by bringing in actors personal life matters. Ridiculous!

tahir is the ice breaker. If the writers think right. He will clear everything. Well, if seher trust his words in that time.

I feel so removed from the drama surrounding this show. I just come here to chat and then insta to watch videos and edit. There was some drama last weekend and Parth's fans were trending too.

Wow! That's taking it far. She fainted, what was he supposed to do, let her fall and hit her head. Then the brain injury would be his fault too.

The untangling of the lights was really the last bit of them being "close" we have gotten in about 2 weeks. Even when he was trying to wake her up, he wouldn't touch her.

I get the cousins marriage thing. I get it's allowed but its so rare these days. Even my Muslim friend who I'm trying to make her watch the show. She asked is there a cousin who is in love? It's a cliche for every ITV Muslim shows.

If you don't like the show go watch something else. Why spread hate? There is enough of it in the world as it is. These shows are supposed to entertain so we can all escape from our daily stresses.

It is a clear hate on a show based on Muslims. They'll keep criticism on Islamic roles, which shows their intolerance. Don't be sad. There are millions of fans of this show, that's why Colors listened to them and changed the time slot to a prime time

I adore Tahir. We need him on screen full time. I don't trust anyone in Niyazi Manzil and someone needs to take care of Mahid.

Exactly. I need the writers outside of the standard ITV track box. I think Seher would believe him, he has never given her a reason not to. May be at first she could think he is just defending his friend but I think Tahir would come with proof.

Somehow I think both Seher and Mahid are over reacting. More like adults are getting divorce after a long marital life.

According to the story the timeline is one/ couple of months. Nothing serious happened. For Mahid it was a duty towards Dadajaan. He even told Seher to remember that. Seher also followed that. Love Kahan se hua? Why they sp Seher is behaving this way? So she is 16. Kuchh bhi toh nehi hua. Off course she should be furious towards Mahid as it was he who made her stay, then why this drama if Nazima. Kaun sa Payar tha? She should feel insulted and cheated.

But makers are just copying all the hatred things from other serials ..where they have long relationship, aged mature couple.

Some are bashing Kawsar. If your 16 year old daughter react like that after a short period of marriage where the hubby didn't even touch her .. what can a mother do? She will blame everything on Mahid. May be he did sth. Mahid and Kawsar are normal here. It is Seher who is reacting too much. Plus confusing both Kawsar and Mahid.

Bechara Nazima. Agreed to another crap.
