I have a genuine question..🤔 I understand that the laws are not clear, in case people of same sex come together and get married as pointed out in the comment of the tweet below, also the adoption laws and things like that ... Par mujhe yeh argument nai samajh aata ki agar do same gender ke log shaadi kar lete hain toh isse kisi teesre ki marriage, family or societal values pe kaise asar padega...🤔
I mean it's not like hetro couples will stop getting married seeing homo couples getting married.. They will anyway get married if they wish to.. I agree ki west ki tarah hume homosexuality 'promote' nai karni chahiye but at the same time one can't deny that these people exist.. What do u guys think in this issue ??

I am not sure about this myself …. But tea break discussions with my colleagues ..senior n juniors …. I learnt that same sex couples might still get married but since their unions are not legally accepted .. they can’t jointly do certain things legally …for example they can’t jointly adopt a child .. they will have to adopt as single parents … like a child’s passport of same sex couples will have name of single parent… either mother or father depending on the sex of same sex couples .

OR

If they wish to rent a house .. they can’t be allowed tennant agreement as a same sex couple ….which is a legal document ..they will have to rent a house as two individuals .. ..but who is going to check what’s going on inside .. whether they are married couple or two friends . They are free to do as they please ..

I completely agree with your post. Apne kaam se kaam rakho na kyun dusron ki shadi se insecure ho rahe ho.

Baki alimony maintanence wagairah ke liye prenup allow Karo. Waise bhi aadmi bahot lutt raha hai alimony maintanence ke naam par. Marriage has become a very risky affair for guys.

Man, if they arent harming anyone, then whats the problem?? If they want to get married, let them. How does it affect heterosexual people in any way?? If we cant even give these basic rights to them, then how will society grow?? You cant deny that they exist and they also deserve basic rights like any other human beings.

People already make their lives difficult. Many of them cant even come out of the closet and by denying such basic rights, we are only putting more pressure on them. I dont like that.

And whats with alimony and maintenance after divorce?? Imean, if needed, create separate provisions or laws for them. We already have so many laws for regular marriages so creating one or two more for same sex marriages isnt a big deal.

Also, that violence argument is baseless. In a marriage, whoever commits violence should be punished, simple as that.

Personally, i believe even in straight marriages, things should be more equal. Whoever commits domestic violence, regardless of gender should be punished equally. Ofcourse, there can be some relief for women when it comes to alimony and maintenance but only if they are not financially independent. Otherwise, if both partners have stable incomes, things should be kept mostly equal.

But Supreme Court has already said that same sex marriages cannot be legalised a few years ago. So what is this new thing?
