I was right then. The producer is making this movie to advertise for his special effects company for Hollywood and UK producers.

Ramayana is copyright free so he didn't have to pay anything for the character or screenplay and story rights unlike any familiar western comic book character or even fairy tale character which are all owned by big studios and he would have had to pay millions of dollars to even use their name

Plus indian audience is a fool to pay in the name of Ramayana and will foot the bill happily for this 4000cr advertisement

But he is so stupid if the teaser is anything to go by, the vfx is shoddy and his words by offending the audience who would actually pay to see it would actually ensure the movie fails on box office as well

Will be the world’s most expensive demo reel if that’s the case… and given the glitches we already see in the teaser, perhaps the most disastrous one too.

Can’t help but think if this a case of the classic - Vinash Kaale Vipreet Buddhi - as our ancestors have so rightfully articulated.

Most probably, the makers did not consider that most people don't have an Imax screen at home...

Also, why brag about the costs of the movie? that's not the audience's concern... neither is it favourable to know what actors/actresses got paid.

Actually, I wonder how much footage they really have when looking at the scenes which got chosen.

Hopefully, they make a trailer/other teasers, one can also enjoy on Smartphones, I-Pads and computer screens...
