Bhai..u wonât be able to recover ur budget if u disregard Indian audience..kitne hi foreigners aayenge dekhne? U r making something essentially Indian and donât want it to appeal to Indians..on top of it u r declaring this to the world. Utter stupidity. If somehow this statement goes viral Indians will make sure the movie flops
Apparently it is. No one from the team has refuted it or claimed itâs a misquote or anything.
The man also sent invites to the LA media critics by stating this is Indiaâs answer to LoTR yada yada. How can actual history be considered as an answer to an imaginary story beats me, moreover why does it need to be? Especially when the movies are what 2 decades old? The story that inspired them not even a century old.. but Ramayana is literally over 7000 years old.
You have got to really be losing your mental capacity not to mention self respect to make comparisons and statements like these.
This guy is the owner of the VFX company and the producer that will pay the same company for their shoddy production and AI work. Heâs created whatâs the worldâs most expensive demo reel to impress the west. The story is as brown as it gets; dude is also so not tuned into the world right now where Indians are facing racism just for existing and being successful abroad no matter where. He really assumes that the west will come to watch a movie about one of our gods when they still use the derogatory word Pagan for us? Did he not see how a simple Hanuman Murti erected in the premises of a privately owned land in Canada by a Mandir caused them to have a meltdown as if we had invaded their lands and burned their homes to the ground⌠how did he think they would watch a movie about someone Hanuman worships as his Aradhya is beyond me.
The cherry on top of this disastrous cake is the casting of Ranbir who doesnât look right plays Ram, Sai who leans left plays Sita and the director who made a movie where a bad marriage was compared to the tragedy that is the Holocaust. I wish I was making the last one up but Iâm not. Seriously, look up the Filmography of the dude on his Wikipedia page. Beyond Dangal he barely has any hits and we know that the majority collections of Dangal coming from China are fishy as heck.
Heâs brought onboard not for his expertise as a director with the chops to make movies on this scale but as heâs the director of the movie that held the record for the highest earner so far and is the biggest money laundering case of the industry so far. Dude has been brought for his experience perhaps for specifically that.
Then thereâs the dialogue writer, ironically named Sriram; whose last movie was Ikkis as a director which rightfully flopped.
I hope the ED is going to be more vigilant this time around as the amount invested in the movie itself is so humongous. This Ponzi scheme is not to be ignored.
