Two big cities, two big teams. A salivating contest awaits us as we begin double-header Saturday, the first one of IPL 2026. It's Mumbai Indians taking on Delhi Capitals in the capital. Both teams started their campaigns with a win, a different dynamic for MI, who won their first game for the first time since 2012. More promising is the fact that they chased down 220 with relative ease and now have the returning Mitchell Santner in their ranks. DC won a low-scoring game against LSG. Their pacers stood out and Rizvi along with Stubbs took them home.

There are a few clouds but it's sunny for now at Delhi stadium.

And that tends me to think that for some sort of home ground advantage, when you've got Axar, you've got Kuldeep, and you've also got Ngidi, who's bowling so beautifully with those slower balls. Maybe what's happening here is Delhi are looking at this and they're thinking, let's give our bowlers a chance here. Bumrah, his economy rate is around 6, 6.5 up to 7. At this ground, it's 9.5. The last time these two teams met, 250+, played 240+, it was high scoring. So I think that today we're going to have a beautiful game of cricket. I think it's going to be playing absolutely fine. With the toss and chase."

"What kind of game are we expecting today? Potentially a high scoring one, maybe a shortened game although the weather looks great for now. We'll find out more about the pitch soon but there are short boundaries. Chances are it's better for batters than bowlers."
