I really loved Beintehaa a lot which came in the same channel too! I liked Zain and Aliya’s nok jhok. Ironically the show was concept was supposs to show about triple talaaq and halala nikkah but that turned out to be the worst track of the show. But they ended it before ruining the show further.

I watched Qubool Hai midway but heard the intial episodes were good so wont be able to say much. I liked Asad-Zoya and later Aahil-Sanam’s chemistry but story didnt impress me as much.

Ishq SubhanAllah never watched a single episode properly but whatever I saw in promo I thought the way FL wore her Hijab was very accurate compared to the other shows.

There was another Muslim show on Colors and it was about polygamy or something. Cant fully recall the name. I liked the initial episodes then it got really weird.

Now I am watching Seher and honestly this has been my fav ITV Muslim drama so far. It is a close one between Seher and Beintehaa. But I hope they dont ruin this one. Some inaccuracies but they showed some stuff really well like the Sehri custom, the leads praying Namaz etc. Not sure I can if they represented a Mufti family well but they represented Indian Muslim family well enough cause my Indian Muslim friends dress like that too.

Good that they show Indian Muslim family properly at least. Although in mufti family hijab should be dressed accurately. Nazima shouldn't appear in front of Mahid like this. The way Kawsar and Seher kept shifting from burqa to dupatta on their heads in the initial episodes was funny and senseless. 🤣

Beinteha was famous, but those triple talaq and polygamy based dramas are cliche. Polygamy is rare nowadays. And triple talaq at the same moment is a sin. Halala is forbidden.

Whatever she said about marriage and fertility and need of being self-independence is correct. And she saw Seher’s in-laws in negative light mostly, had Mahid’s family being supportive she probably won’t have been that worried. I couldn't understand Kawsar, but the way you described her. I remembered my sis. She too got married early. And now she rejects many proposals for her daughter. Coz she wants her to educate, and live her age.

It doesn't have any clear targeted audience that is the problem. Only Parth fans are watching, but not all. Parth fans are usually from MTV , that means youth based fans. This serial is nothing close to youth. All these times they only showed Seher cooking ..cooking ...cooking. Fupi bitching and Mahid accusing Seher. There were few romantic moments.

Maker is doing these to bring senior audience. But senior audience does not like these fights of Mahid, nor a 16 year acting like auntyjee.

Sorry to say they should have taken some attractive looking actress as Kawsar. Mahi is a good actress. But she looks like 55+. According to serial she can't be more than 16+16+1/2=33/34. Tejo, Hina etc are at that age. Clearly she can't be a match with Apurva. Although Apurva is old , but Mahi and he just don't match. Now what is left to watch for the senior audience? Kawsar and Parvez ka fight is one sided and it really hurts to see those nonstop violence.

At first I used to think the timing of the telecast is wrong. But now the way they are promoting violence on TV( every episode fight, self harm etc) I think the timing is right. None wants to see this violences. Sp they are running 2 violent serials back to back. Another one is MAS. They want audience they should at least cut these violence scenes. This is TV , not movie.

I thought Seher aimed Muslim viewers. It is a remake of a Turkish show. So it has to follow the same plot. They made changes, but the plot is the same.

I agree on the lack of chemistry between Apurva and Mahi. But I like them separately. They do good job.

Also agree that violence and maybe underage marriage (romance) might have been the reason behind its low TRPs.

But there are many good shows which are good and liked by fans, but lost TRPs game because of tough competition.

Last year Star Plus dramas dominated. This year Zee TV is competing with it, and winning some slots. So Colors dramas have to compete with both the channels.

I agree. No matter what they try they are always going to end up in each other's orbit. They naturally gravitate towards each other.

I too was obsessed about Madhubala. But not when it was on air. Yes .. I came to IF for Junoon, but not of Madhubala.. it is the other show starring : Mount Roy.

But when Madhbala dubbed in Arabic and aired on TV here. It got me hooked. I am not young any more, still those hate love stories catch my interest. I also like those friendship com love stories too.. like here Mahid and Seher shared this friendship and deep understanding which turn into love. 😍

There were some dramas about Muslim families. I wasn't obsessed about them even though I liked the couple of Ishq Subhan Allah. That's because it was preachy. And you can side with the FL only. Here in Seher you love them both. 💞

I see it now. Kausar is another toxic person. It is like she wanted to become a doctor, not her daughter. I know she loves her , but she underestimates her feelings towards Mahid. She thinks that by driving her to complete her studies she is helping her to pass this period in her life.. and will forget Mahid sooner.

I watched the early parts of Ishq Subhan Allah but then the story went off the rails and I never finished it.

I don't think anyone doubts that Kausar loves Seher but that woman only has one agenda. Seher becoming a doctor, to hell with any other thing Seher is feeling. How often has she shunned Seher when Seher has said or done something Kausar didn't like? And as a mother I get wanting to retarget her emotions but it had barely been hours since Seher life imploded; give her some time to breath.

All parents should support their children in their dreams but Kausar is blind to EVERYTHING else Seher is going through. I get not agreeing about the marriage and Mahid and everything else but how could you not understand what your child is feeling. She only support Seher when she is fully compliant with what Kausar wants and I have issues with that. With everything that has happened, Seher is going to focus on her studies but she will shut down emotionally.

The answer is Kawsar saw only the bad side of Mahid and his family. Any mother will freak out after meeting fupi. Such an uncultured , cheap woman she is. That environment in their house is extremely unhealthy and suffocating. Yes, Parvez's house is also hell. But Kawsar hates that too. I think her reaction is alright. Mahid never showed his good side either.

No the family being horrible and her worry for Seher I get. Kausar's first issue is with Mahid. And I agree that she has only seen the harsh side of him and even that worry I understand. BUT Seher has said over and over that Mahid has another side that she has witnessed and how he takes care of her; even Kausar has seen him protect Seher so may be give him benefit of the doubt that the one version she saw of him isn't the only one.

But few reasons why I really like this show is because:

1) Aesthetics of the show

2) Leads chemistry

3) Great OSTs

4) Most importantly, this show is showing reality cause Maine khud aise Bohot stories sunna hai Aur Dekha Bhi.

I feel the casting of this show is kinda strange age wise. All the main characters are around 10 yrs elder in real life.

Seher - 16 but is 24 IRL

Mahid - 22 but is 34 IRL

Kausar - 30/31 but is 43 IRL

Dr Fareed - 40+ but is 50+ IRL

Also apart from the controversial age thingy one very big problem of this show is way too many negative characters!!! Always thought this was a problem from the start.
