Somewhat correct. Let's suppose you choose briefcase 25 and it has 400 value and up to now you've made 1500. If either x2 is with your briefcase, still on the board, or the last one eliminated, then your total score (1500 + 400) will be doubled meaning 3800 points total.

If ÷2 is with your briefcase, still on the board, or the last one eliminated, then your total score (1500 + 400) will be halved meaning 950 points total.

The x2 and ÷2 is applicable to all briefcases. The only time they won't apply is if you take a Banker offer. Then you keep your 1500 and add the Banker offer to it.

Meaning this round could impact whatever points that I have made till now?

Meine mushkil se would have made 1000 points till now, only to see it getting halved?

Yes and also I will tell you clearly - "well you have only x2 left on the board which means your entire score could be doubled if you don't take a banker offer" after you eliminate a power button. It's up to you to see it and remember it.
