This is a different topic that has nothing to do with Dhurandhar but a possible future collaboration between Dhar and Ranveer.

It happens very often that the director + leading star of a successful movie announce another collaboration plan... no problem to wait if something definite will materialize smiley1

Yep. This was in the news even before Dhurandhar was released, the first one. So let’s wait for them to do it officially. They’ll do it when they’re ready.

I think Ranveer preponed Pralay for this reason, he wants to be free in 2027 for the film he has planned with Dhar. Also why he walked out of Don 3 cause that would be a downgrade amidst Pralay and the Dhar film.

It’s a good thing he quit Don. I would rather see him set up his own franchise than see him replace someone else in their’s. That way he can claim credit for it entirely without any other person having any way to imply their work has benefited him.

Yup and the trolling, hate, comparisons of he had done Don 3 would have been too much. I am very glad he walked out.

The absolutely dumb and unrealistic treatment of the Don franchise would have also been very glaring in a way than they normally would have. Earlier he could’ve at least claimed cinematic liberties to justify the action pieces and twists that make no sense. Now after he’s done Dhurandhar and in a way essentially wiped out the whole slate clean for all future projects, he himself can’t go back to the same either. RGV may seem like he’s going overboard and crazy but he’s the only veteran director with the kind of talent who has come forward and appreciated both the movies from day one and his assessment isn’t wrong. The kind of business both the movies have done and are doing, producers and directors, even actors can’t claim that audiences aren’t prepared for or willing to give realistic movies a chance. The collections, craze, the hype on SM which is organic and the discussions regarding the movie be it online or offline are there for everyone to see.

So in a way Ranveer has set a benchmark for all the action movies to come regardless of whether they have spies or not. Both the Dhurandhar movies have amply proven that we as an audience are absolutely capable of watching engaging movies that have realistic action pieces. And the ripple effects of this realisation will be felt across all the movie industries of India regardless of the language they’re made in based on the sheer buzz and business that Dhurandhar has generated. The fact that the movies were shot in 1.5 years, with what can be considered as a very limited budget when you take into account the scale and scope of these movies, with almost no budget spent on marketing and PR will also have many reevaluating their own movies and where they’d rather prefer to spend their money.

Given that post pandemic Bollywood hasn’t seen a lot of success and definitely none of this kind will surely create an impact on those in the business, whether they are willing to openly admit it or not.

We see a lot being spoken about how these two movies have effectively finished the YRF spy verse but it has done a lot more than that which is significant across all the industries.

Fingers crossed, this leads to better Pan India movies regardless of who makes them or who stars in them, and which are Pro-India regardless of their genre.

Don is and will always be remembered for the GOAT Amitabh Bachchan....All the other actors who will take it forward will just be paying homage to him and can never own it in the full sense! I personally would've liked to see how Ranveer will play it but I understand his predicament also...One cannot be waiting forever for something that was never going to happen..Farhan's loss for sure!

As for Dhar and Ranveer collaborating again, hope so but first I want Ranveer to do 1 or 2 projects in between...Pralay is all I am hooked on to, for now! (though its not at all my favorite genresmiley18)

Hope we have another banger of a movie...*fingers crossed*
