See, even in the religion I was born in, we have a book (Bible) that was written by those who claim to have written God's words. You will find a lot of things - like in any religious scripture- that reflects the times when the words got written.
Someone here wrote about a religion giving rules how to live and I think that is correct... the scriptures are either like stories told and/or a guide for behaviour. But that doesn't mean that this are God's words in reality. The ten commandments Moses got, the requests Mohammed made written down, the guidelines the Gita gives... they got put in words by human beings but I'm sure, a universal force (or God, Allah or Krishna) gave the thoughts (quasi spoke to them) to help mankind in guiding their life in a positive sense... he may also have given warnings about the consequences when not following the positive path by making clear that negative forces will always try to get the upperhand and that humans are prone to follow more the negative/destroying forces because nature gave them both and that the bad will always try to topple the good.
However, humans with power-wishes rather quickly got what a religion gave them to influence others to get what they wanted either for themselves or for a community... and that was the start of all the interpretations done and written down, be it the Bible or the Quran... maybe less the Gita because, for Hindus, God was more prevalent in exceptional human beings and their avatars... it's something that I can the best relate to as it is the closest to my own - quite childlike - vision of an omnipresent spiritual benevolent force
A large population of Muslims, Christians and Hindus consider Quran, Bible or texts like Vedas, Mahabharat etc to be revealed texts.... May be you have reached this conclusion that they were all man made but these people have not.. For them these texts are sacred.. Also a link between them and divine.. And then there is also a possibility that these texts may have actually been revealed ... You never know... And that's where the problem comes in... There are verses that gives a divine sanctity to kill people based on their belief.. Whether God himself came and gave this divine sanctity is immaterial.. People believe that there is a divine sanctity / duty to do it and hence they do it...
You may think that flogging is a bad law and a man made law... However in Taliban's interpretation of Sharia law flogging is right and hence in Afghanistan public flogging is a law.... Whether flogging is a man made law or God asked Taliban people to flog people, problem is people are getting beaten up...
However still if you think revelations that ordain people to harm others are man made and hence fallible the correct audience for would be those people who consider these revelations to be divine and hence infallible and hence unchangeable....
To me the only problem with a revealed text is that asking people to make changes to it's problematic aspects, as per modern times become very difficult, otherwise revealed text have no problem if it is uplifting...

Tani saw God in her husband because the writer of that movie thought that bringing in this aspect will be something people would love to see, nothing else..The writers tried to play with our emotions to make their movie a hit.
Love as I said is very irrelevant in this universe as I said, so something that irrelevant in universe can't be the God for sure .. You are still free to consider it God that's your choice
About the last line, no one knows if there is zero, one, two, hundred, thousand or infinite Gods, it's just a belief so anyone saying that there is xxx God/s is imposing his/her belief onto everyone, that shouldn't be done, as respecting each other's belief should be the way
