Football thing is real. But… it’s not even the worst thing that’s happened there -

Google Captain Saurabh Kalia. Captured during Kargil War.

We often hear about 93000 soldiers we kept in prison after the surrender in 1971. ALL of them were released by us - not a single casualty. But guess what - Congress never got a single Indian soldier captured as a POW back from Pakistan in that war. Not one!

I don't want to turn the Dhurandhar thread into a LW/RW battle but why the lies?

India got back a large chunk of their POWs back. They claim 54 were not returned and are languishing in Pakistani Jails until today. Pakistan got 93 K of their POWs back in segments and claim around 3 K are languishing in Indian Jails until today.

Its inhumane by both countries and those soldiers, just doing their duties should be able to return to their families. Who knows the amount of physical and mental torture they've endured over the years. Nobody is a saint here!

I was talking about those 54 whose fate is uncertain. When you hold 93000 people, how hard is it to get back those 54? Even their bodies if they couldn’t be back alive? I assumed that was clear but maybe I should’ve been clearer about it.

The word inhumane is so easy to throw around here when the war clearly was thrust upon India. So unless India instigated this war, this tag really doesn’t belong to both sides. When you defend your country from enemies, you’re not being inhumane. This shouldn’t be about LW or RW but about the country. Because as far as I know India didn’t invade any country and certainly didn’t get her soldiers to commit any atrocities on its people while one side of Pakistan clearly did it to the other, and the victims were here and that’s what dragged us into this war.

In that case I agree, but you claimed India didn't get any POWs back in exchange.

Even keeping 1 POW post the conflict, is a war crime and inhumane. No matter who started the war. I obviously don't believe a word Pakistan says but I do feel for those 54 soldiers still languishing in their Jails.

Anyways...back to Dhurandhar.

I wasn’t clear enough that’s on me. Next time around I would make sure to do so.

I don’t think any one of them is alive. Not anymore. What’s inhumane isn’t just keeping them but never ever even returning their dead bodies.

We know about Capt Kalia because it got to the media somehow, but we don’t even know what these 54 soldiers suffered. May have been even worse, enough that not a word on even their deaths was ever spoken.

I never imagined I would find Ranveer at his hottest as a spy/gangster even though I think he’s handsome. Dhar really gave him not just the best role of his career so far but also got people who made him look like a complete dish!

I wonder if they’ll collaborate again, and if they do I would absolutely love it if Dhar can give Ranveer a movie/role along the lines of old romance movies like Yash Chopra made, not the trash that’s been churned out of YRF now. Because can you imagine Ranveer doing a movie like Kabhi Kabhie, Silsila or the likes written and directed by Dhar. I think he’d make Ranveer look sexy as a professor or a scientist or literally even a typist in the 60s smiley36

I have tried a lot and while there are Donna y good scenes in the movie. The end where Rakesh Bedi replies to Ranveer regret that she could not kill Dawood plays in my mind.

Sometimes it’s better to see them live with pain than to die easily.

Every dialogue in the movie and acting by the actors is executed with perfection.

Wasnt that a tad bit stupid? He was able to pull off more terrorist acts in India even being bed ridden , being the brains behind most?
