@Bold Yes Arya is not really as helpless as he portrays himself to be. He should take lessons from Jhende. He's the eldest in the family after his mother and the karta dharta. So why is he taking all this nonsense? Agreed Harsh has some problems but why pander to Meera and Mansi?

If Meera Mansi torture continues after they get married and he still plans on keeping mum then maybe he shouldn't get married to Anu.

I just realised as I read your post, what bothers me the most about Arya right now is that he is essentially playing victim along side anu when that is not the case. As you said he is not completely helpless there is a lot he can do.

During the Mohit track anu took responsibility of the hurt she was causing Arya. Although she was kinda helpless because she was a 20 year old girl living under the authority of her parents. But Arya is a grown man as you said ghar ka karta dharta not only is he not helpless but also he is not taking any responsibility for what Anu is being put through.
Anu is young her parents refused to listen to her so Arya had to step up to convince her father, but Arya is not a young boy he is a grown man convincing his family should be a burden he bears not the 20 year old he is about to marry

For 1 shaadi this much chaos? Y ?from where they find that anu need s take weird test or to get permission from 3 garbages?what nonsense they r showing..And Arya has lost his spine ? Y he is not speaking up? Kahaan se murga bana ? No manliness ,sick and tired to c lame Arya and anus faltu Drama

did Arya know about the video indecent ? which led to the wedding track ? I don't thinks so. if he knew correct me . because I did not watch that track for my mental sanity.

he forgave her last time about anu result problem for the sake of anu parents request. yes he could have cleared the situation by telling them about what happened. but I think he assumed anu told them . and they forgave her.

anyother business related incedent does not count because meera business weight in arya company is not something simple.

Btw you shouldn't have missed Mohit wedding track it had many scenes where Sharad Kelkar has just done it so brilliantly.. barring few scenes I found that track amazing 🤩 although I am bit of sadist so I guess I enjoyed it. The pain the angst the yearning Anurya had especially Arya's yearning for Anu was way to nicely potrayed.

The last terrace conversation between Anurya is one of my favourite scenes of TSTT with Anu apologising to Arya and asking him to move on in life. It was on different level altogether for me in terms of acting and emotional dialogue delivery from Niharika's side.

Right, his helpless act has not been explained except showing that Harsh has problems.

One more thing I don't understand is Arya has already lost his first wife. So shouldn't he be more protective about Anu, especially since she is so young?

Or was he the same with RN and ultimately he didn't protect her too and that led to her death?

I wish now Sharma reconsiders his decision and gives Arya an ultimatum. Sharmas still don't know about RN. If they find out about her and how she died they might start fearing for their daughter's future.

In TPR we could see the protectiveness in Vikrant despite him being RN’s killer. But here, it seems that they are going to change the ending like the other versions and yet we don’t see the protectiveness.

And whether or not Arya is a villain he definitely wasn’t a good husband to RN, one would think 20 years of regret, sorrow and self reflection would motivate him to do a better job with anu.

Also btw I have a theory about RN.
I think Anita Hassanandani is playing RN cause there was an old bts clip where she was seen visiting the set and also she clicked pics with SK during the zee Kutumb nomination event.

It would be fun to see if this is true. Also Anita has played a lot of villain roles in the past so it came to my mind what if they end up making RN the villain in this version. That would also be a fun twist. She took rebirth to right all the wrongs committed by her.

Frankly at this point I am willing to take anything that would show a more complex and layered female lead unlike the doormat and bichari anu these people are currently showing

Don't you think Anita is bit matured in terms of age to play RN.

Going by logic RN would have been 24-25 when she died not more than that and so far tstt has done age appropriate casting

Actually according to the original Marathi version it was shown that RN was a lot older than Arya, it was a karma thing that RN was older than Arya and Arya was older than anu.

And even if they are planning on changing the age thing here
SK is going to play younger Arya as well and he is fit but he definitely doesn’t look like a guy in his 20s so casting a older and mature actress would sort of make it a bit believable that they are young. On the contrary if they were to cast a 25-30 year old she would still look young in front of SK. Someone like Anita would look his age
