After 3rd viewing, Dhurandhar 1 was more engaging than Dhurandhar 2

There are many scenes here and there where you know the plot and you want screenplay to move quickly unlike the first one

I think movie needed better editing

I just watched it. The movie could have been trimmed easily by 20-30mins. Rampals backstory was meh! He doesnt match up to Akshays negative character. Something felt amiss there . The whole killing by unknown men was a filler. Hamza v/s iqbal was unrealistic and the whole climax 30mins was way too stretched. The d1 music was soo fab. But it was overall an entertaining watch definitely.

What was the point of showing Ajit Sanyal getting up from the midst of his pooja to watch that hijacker guy die? I found that entire scene repulsive and could've easily been edited from the final Cut....

Before the first part released there was so much chatter about the Sara-Ranveer pairing , but honestly their love story has been such a highlight . The last conversation between Hamza- Yalina was genuinely so heartbreaking. When he said his actual name and she repeats it , both their expressions OMG I was in tears . And the song akhri ishq with the flute music just added to the scene . I know there is a debate happening about dhurandhar 1 vs 2 but genuinely there is no comparison both are equally enjoyable, the first part was for Hamza to discover that world and the second was for him to dismantle it . I am honestly such a proud ranveer fan today ,there is no debate anymore about the kind of actor he is . The first chapter , the bazigaar sequence , the final confrontation with Iqbal ,yalina and his last convo , the last scene with him wanting to go back to his past but realizing his duty is towards his country now ,the way he has acted in these scenes I am going to be thinking about these scenes for a long time . And the scene with him stripping his shirt and sitting on that chair as king of lyarismiley9i know that scene was especially for his female fanssmiley27smiley17, if aura framing is what people are looking for that one scene ate !!! The revenge was a very fitting sequel and I hope I can rewatch it soon !!

I saw it and absolutely loved the experience ….

I wasn’t a fan of the glazing or watering down of rampals character with his backstory…he needed to be more terrifying and in control for the win to feel better in the end …rampal was good but I wish he got more to work with …Sanjay dutt didn’t make much of an impact here he was just …there …

Madhavan was very good here but ….i wish they didn’t put that FaceTime scene …as gratifying as it can be cinematically for a payoff, a man of his stature and responsibility can’t be shown as so petty that he tries to resolve a personal grudge in a mission of this scale ….it would have been more effective if it just happened and Madhavan just smiled at knowing abt it ….the whole FaceTime scene made him seem like someone with an ego who was getting revenge abt his ego being hurt ….his char was much bigger than that and dealt with far bigger things

The Alam scene was 😭😭…

The first and the final chapters were 👌…the best parts of the movie imo…the rest was great too but these chapters were the ones with the most highs

I liked how they dealt with Sara’s character…I don’t think there could have been another resolution to her tbh …good that they didn’t show the “happy ending” and ended it abruptly …it fit the world and the setting of the story and the situations

The whole rampal fight could have been trimmed …

Now ranveer ….gawd he was awesomeee

The first 20 mins showing his intensity and devastation ….his acting was top notch here ….the sister scene is so haunting man his expressions there were world class…

Also ehm …:was he hot or what when he lands at the Kabul airport with those glasses and man bun (right before setting off on his mission)

Rakesh bedi was the second hero of the movie …the crowd went insane whenever he was on screen and after his major reveal …I do agree that it’s a odd how he has access to so many bigwigs but dosent do much except orchestrate and manipulate ….that didn’t quite sound convincing tbh

All in all the screenplay and ranveer tower over the films flaws by miles …👍🏼

Us, Ranveer fans!!! ...He gave us these highs before the pandemic...but nothing could've prepared us for what we are experiencing now...So happy for him...And so happy for us too....Just want him to continue to make good movies..smiley27

As for Ranveer-Sara...I loved their pairing and have been completely invested in their story from the get go...Their story was so well written that by the end of it I bet there is not a single dry eye during that last phone call...I bet almost every single audience was hoping to see her show up at his door step at some point before the credits rolled..:(
