Since I have no idea about When Life Gives You Tangerines except it being angsty (that too I picked up from reviews I read on Twitter) I can't say how similar both shows are. Love Story in the 1970s is realistic, love through hardships, support eo - yess, that description could fit the main couple's story!

I find Love Story in the 1970s a very typical 1960s to 70s Chinese drama! Like Always on the Move and Romance in the Alley. All of them revolve around small struggles, work, saving money, trying to build a better life, and all the little nuances that come with it.

Hey guys, a new Chinese costume drama Pursuit of Jade just came out. I don’t usually watch costume dramas, but the chemistry between the leads looks really good.

Best thing mein jo hero hai I think vah Hai Maine best thing dekha nahin Hai per bhi kafi popular hai.

By the way, I’ve actually watched one costume drama before, and that was because of Chun Zheyuan — The Princess and the Werewolf. It was good, but I didn’t find the VFX that impressive

In "sniper butterfly" why FL keep on wearing shorts or child like clothes? And her makeup is also too loud and her eye makeup/eye lash are distracting. Anyways

I haven't noticed her eye makeup but yes her wardrobe has too many shorts!

Even if they tried to tone down the 19 year age gap from real life to 9 years for the sake of the plot it shouldn't have reflected on her costumes. I was about to mention this. In the initial eps she was clearly uncomfortable while sitting down.

I am watching Pursuit of Jade right now and have already finished like 25 episodes (following iQiyi schedule).
