DK, I can understand as he has taught her self defence but they have just reduced Mannat that she has taught Dua cooking. The day before yesterday I understood they wanna show DK Vikrant as equal fathers to Dua but in yesterday's episode too they shoved down that shabbily made flashback which didnt make any sense. Like they have time to shoot fbs with others but not Dua's mother? Mannat is distraught, on the verge of fainting and not once Dua had some fb about her mom.

I get that they wanna establish Dua Vikrant bond but it is looking so shallow due to their sudden rush. The old Dua would have warmed up to Vikrant as well but she would have never forgotten Mannat Dk esp her mom. She was true and true mummapaglu. This one seems hardly attached to Mannat sometimes. All this becauase they now realised how wrong they were to make Vikrant too rigid towards Dua. Now they are compensating with rushed, baseless scenes. Its like they are trying to portray as if Vikrant has also contributed in Dua's upbringing which is not the case. Mannat has major hand in it followed by Dk and Ronnie.

Bold... this...

This is why I was not okay with Vik being indifferent to Dua in Indore. He was only viewing her as DKs daughter... but he should have felt some attachment to her as Mannats daughter as well.

That was missing then and highly demanded by the audience.

It seems they have realised it only now 😕

My thoughts on dua-dk-mannat-vik based on yesterday’s scene:

The leap promo was primarily built around the mother daughter bond, where Mannat is shown teaching dua skills and boosting her confidence. However, post leap the narrative has largely shifted toward highlighting the DK Dua bond. Several scenes show DK mentoring her, teaching techniques, and giving pep talks. For example, when dua ran away and managed to handle the goons she used dk’s techniques. In contrast, Mannat’s pep talks or guidance have been highlighted only in Dua’s conversation with others after the leap. Now, in order to balance the DK Dua bond with the Dua Vik bond, the writers seem to be using the idea of a divine or intuitive connection between Vik and Dua. Yesterday’s scene may have felt slightly off, but the intention of the scene was not about teaching. Dua was frustrated because she was unable to complete the task, and Vik was simply motivating her not to give up. It was not that she didn’t know how to do it, she had just lost focus. Since the beginning, Vik has been portrayed as Dua’s ideal chef, someone she looks up to. Even though their first interaction did not leave a very positive impression, her recent interactions with him are helping her reconnect with that guru–shishya dynamic. When you believe in someone, you tend to remember their positive energy and their words of encouragement. That seems to be what the writers are trying to establish here. However, in this process, what gets somewhat sidelined is Mannat’s role as the one who initially trained and guided Dua. She often repeats Mannat’s teachings in front of others, but during difficult or scary situations she tends to recall the techniques and pep talks that help her act in the moment. Dua is portrayed as street-smart, someone who responds based on the situation. In the current track, the conflict lies mainly between Vik and DK, so the writers are structuring scenes around that dynamic. Vik is positioned as the guru, DK as the father figure who supports her survival, while Mannat continues to exist in the narrative more as a protector.

Also, It looked rush because team didn’t pay attention on building the bond organically.. They were more inclined towards arching vamps alignment…Even competition is not used properly for the duvik bond build up..tabhi everything is looking out of sight and not in sync with what they have shown…

Nice review Daman. And just to add on, because Holi scene happened the day after the first round of cooking context it almost looked like it's the following day but based on the Duvik flashback maybe the idea is they have had more time behind the scenes. Mannat and Dua entered SM on Maha Shivratri and now it's Holi.

Planning for the engagement, holi event and and cooking competition likely took some time.

I was annoyed by this. I know Mannat isnt a perfect mother but she doesnt deserve such disrespect as a character. I remember, when Dua ran away from Indore to Mumbai, she was constantly thinking about her mom, how she will be worried, hope she is fine, babaji keep an eye on my mom and hope she doesnt get angry. Here she did say mumma mumma but there were 0 fbs or any memories of her mom. In such situation any kid's furst thought is I want my mumma, I want to go to my mom. I know Dua is a street smart kid who knows how to deal with the adverse situations, but consecutively 2 days they didnt show any flashback of Mannat but were gracious enough to mention DK and Vikrant. The imbalance is too glaring.

How do they not know on how to show a balance?
Everything is so ad hoc.

The interesting part of the episodes nowadays has to be ever changing Vikrant Mannat Dk dynamics. All 3 of them share history and characters have depth, all this makes their scenes intriguing. It seems they will show Mannat oscillating between the two men as per her equation with each.

Is it just me or anyone else felt that yesterday Vikrant was slightly awkward around Mannat? I understood why he was like that. He had his eyes on her constantly yesterday due to extreme concern & multiple times wanted to comfort her ( gotta give it to Adnan for his expressions and body language) but he had to hold himself back due to DK. Yesterday Mannat Dk were in perfect sync as Dua's Mumma baba and best friends of 7 years & that made Vikrant feel kind of out of place. There was an instance where he turned to console Mannat but Dk was faster to reach to Mannat and Vikrant left hanging in the middle.

By looking at the bts, it seems same is gonna happen with Dk too when Mannat will be seen giving support to Vikrant as Yuvi is missing and Dk will feel like an outsider as now he knows how their current equation is.

All this is good conflict if you ask me, just dont push shallow written vamps which manage to drag down these three.

I feel Aish has lost her charm over time. When Mannat started, she was the only villain and her brutality made the character stand out. But as the story progressed, the makers introduced 3 more villains, and each of them now shows traits that were originally unique to Aish. It would have been more interesting if the writers had shown power struggles and rifts between them, where each villain tries to outsmart the others for control. That would have allowed every character to display their own strength and individuality instead of simply following Aish. Because of this, Aish’s original impact has weakened. The earlier aura and confidence of the character seem lost now, and Mona is not able to recreate that same vibe consistently. The current alliance between Aish, Malla, Vish, and Y also feels forced, rather than naturally built. In many old Hindi movies there were multiple villains, but each had their own motive, personality, and influence in the story. Here, however, all of them seem to have just one agenda Mannat and Dua. Because of that, their alliance looks more like overpowering the main characters rather than creating strong individual arcs. Also, many of the actions being shown now are repetitions of what Aish and Malla have already done earlier, so it no longer feels fresh. At times it almost feels like the villains are just saving each other from consequences, with the same constipated expressions, instead of moving the story forward in a meaningful way….

They are building up to an interesting conflict between DK, Mannat, and Vikrant. Couple of times Vikrant turned to Mannat, but she didn't even expect him, and looked to DK, because obviously where Dua is concerned, they have had history. their bond is because of Dua. But I also noticed Mannat feeling relieved when Vikrant took charge. Day before's episode had a lot of sub text. It was fun.

i can't wait for Vikrant to know DM are not married! But that is tied up with Dua's truth, so we will have to see how it plays out.

Also I liked it that when ARS, Yashika etc were trying to shame Mannat for being with Vikrant, both Vikrant and DK looked angry. Both were angry for the onslaught on Mannat. I found it very reassuring on Mannat's behalf.

The vamps have been reduced to making faces!! And planning attacks on 6year olds. I was surprised when ARS agreed to Yashika, and is working with Yashika. How much time would it take for her to plan an attack on yashika? Or somehow manipulate her truth coming out?

One there's the fear of jail. Which honestly, Vish and Malla didn't seem concerned about! they did show Malla protesting to ARS about Yashika. I hope they follow it through.

With just a little bit of tweaking, the episodes can be interesting. Why are they continuing with the vamps standing in one line? It would be fun from and audience perspective to see them fighting among each other! the more they plan attacks, the more Mannat is staying back. Otherwise, she would have packed and gone after Neetu's surgery.
