Wasn't IPL was supposed to be haunted cause of gas issue? Plus elections

PBKS in 19 years have never played an opening match.

Even this time, despite being finalists, they aren't given to play the opening match.

I think they would have got clearance for a few days, isliye 20 matches ka he schedule aaya.

It would have been better of they had scheduled 1st match for RCB nd Punjab they were finalist both team deserve that

Ideally they should

They play teams that have a huge buzz in the opening match

That's why CSK, MI, and RCB have played most opening matches.

In 2023, CSK v GT had the opening match, even when it was RR who were the finalists, and CSK was 2nd last in 2022.

This time, due to such a big trade happening between CSK and RR, that's why they are having their first match with each other.
