New Zealand need these to fire again to taste success today. The feeling is they need a 70+ opening stand to bother India. Finn Allen has positive matchups against Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy and Hardik Pandya, while Axar Patel has dismissed him once. Tim Seifert has been troubled by Arshdeep, Bumrah and Varun in the past. India could win this tactically though.

Meanwhile, Finn Allen interestingly told SKY Cricket recently that "I’m a big fan of playing the ball, not the man. If you get too focused on Jasprit Bumrah running in at you, you can get caught up in the moment." Allen hasn't been dismissed by Bumrah in the small sample size yet and this will be a mouth-watering contest.

Ishan Kishan will have to wary though because he's been dismissed twice. Advantage Abhishek? Will he step out a lot more tonight? Looking at the grass cover on the pitch, he might well have to do that. Great toss to win for New Zealand and Henry can torture the batters if it seams around.
