Red and blue ... dont downplay the situations regarding Mannat and Vikrant. The only time when Mannat wholeheartedly forgave Aish was when she saved her from goon attack in Mezbani and lets be honest that was an actual save since Aish realized it will fall back on her and Malla. So even if we assume Aish had selfish motives, she did actually save Mannat in that situation. The situation was so carefully planned and executed by Aish that it did make some sense why Mannat believes Aish helped her. You cant deny that.
at all other times, Mannat has been suspicious of her... she had kept records and she made sure Aish gets punished.
Whereas the only direct attack Vik has faced so far is the molestation attempt by Malla... something she and Aish accepted on their own.
Nobody knows about the DH attack which Mannat wanted to investigate and was not allowed to.
That's why I say the audience supports or understands Mannats POV because it is well written or at least has some logical base.
Viks doesnt... he not only forgave her for the ONS but he lets her meddle in his life... there's still no sense why he thinks Malla reformed when she was at the forefront of the skit which triggered him and she was supporting Vish all along in putting the entire blame on Mannat.
I have supported Vik when the situation was not written in his favour and his reactions were justifiable.
I supported Vik when he couldnt believe Bobby would so such a nasty crime.
I supported him when he married Malla because of how she presented him the ONS. I remember my justification of why he feels he could have done it because she took the blame on herself and he was too drunk to understand.
I supported Vik during the wedding kaand because he was a proof of himself... and I still do.... there can be no greater proof than Viks own memories. In that situation, he deserved sympathy and understanding because his memories validated what vish was saying and it was written that way....
I do not belong to that audience who bash Vikrant unnecessarily. But i will not hold back my frustration when he doesnt behave the way we were told he is supposed to. He is supposed to be Mannats BDB, protecting her not fighting with her.
Green... sorry to say but post leap and especially post Indore, I have not seen you supporting Mannat as vociferously as you do vikrant. And I hate to bring it up but its also true that you dont like DK and you judge Mannats behaviour from her association to DK... her words and her behaviour is dissected too much while Vik gets a free pass in name of trauma. Is he the only one in trauma? For that matter, even RoTu are in trauma.... I dont remember anything in their support.
If they get blamed for their mistakes pre leap and the life they have now as what they deserve how is it that Vik shouldn't own up to his mistakes???? why shouldnt he suffer alone for his mistakes? Why does he gets sympathy but RoTu and Mannat dont when their trauma is equally valid and disturbing.
Purple and blue... Thats the only thing I agree.... Mannat is a victim... but she is victim of Vikrant more than RoTu... she has suffered the worst possible brunt of his anger and is still suffering it with no sign of relief in future... all because she wanted to protect him from a trauma she herself went through.
Was that one lie big enough to let go of everything else? Is that lie and whatever betrayal Vik feels warrants such a disgusting behaviour from Vik???
Are the situations even comparable????
Just look at the situation in yesterdays episode ... Mannat gracefully and sensibly accepted Vikrants new life... congratulated him for his engagement and wished him well and what has Vikrant done ever since he has met her?
She too feels betrayed as much as he does.... but isn't there a difference in how they both approached the situation? One with maturity and the other with complete insensitivity????
So how does my gender matter when that's the picture I am seeing on my screen....
All I am asking is Vik to show some growth and understanding and it shouldn't happen because someone told him something. It has to be independent of anyone's influence.
Is there is logic to him accepting Ys proposal? Who is he going to blame this time? and does he really plan to move on with Y? if yes... why hurt Mannat?
My frustration is with writing of the character and credit to Adnan for making it watchable... but I cant defend him simply because he is ML.
As I said, I draw the line at repeated CAs
