It's channels longest running show and also the one which has dipped multiple times across generations and bounced back so am not really surprised that channel is giving them leeway unlike other shows.

@bold - This might not be possible because we are already in end of Feb and they will need atleast couple of weeks to wrap up current Generation and setup premise for Gen leap.

@blue: agreed but Star has very patient. There have been way more lucrative shows than rishta & still haven’t got the chances it has.

@bold: yeah I assumed so. They won’t be able to wrap this up before mid March ; that is *if they want to*. There have been no hints of this gen wrapping up any time soon.

theory is simple

Abhimaan come across and redevelopment drama

Mukti and maira dosti dosti behen behen track

Meher finds out mukti is vani

tries to kill her

abhimaan ends up dying

maira blames vaani and runs away to rishikesh

vaani accepted by powders as abhira and armaan ki nishaani since mairu ran away

or maira and vaani live together with poddars and are rich

They can wrap up in 2 months

they might go with gen leap MID IPL

If they wanna save this gen 4 then they could work out another arrangement that is

they bring in kairav and muskan's daughter and pair her with aaryan(very unlikely since they would need another set of lead actors)

then they rely on her and aaryan's story which could bring in viewers due to kairav-naira connect.Abhimaan can have their own DDP running parralelly.Then kill abhimaan and aaryan and her take care of maira and mukti.

they could do a good WD where armaan and meher in car and end up running over kairav offing him like OG akshara.His daughter and aaryan can throw armaan in jail or something with meher and abhira ends up fighting against armaan or tries to save her satyavan like savitri but fails.They can make aaru sa innocent saying it was meher who did it and aaru sa was falsely framed.(To show trauma DDP of aaru sa).They can amp up the drama by showing the daughter heavily pregnant when accident kaand happens and she ends up having a premature delivery

Its all my theory but i would seriously love to see a scene where Armaan is probably getting transported to jail and he gets killed in a fake encounter proposed by muskan or aaryan as revenge for kairav's death.This could serve as motive for maira to bring justice to daddy sa.Maira ka pati and her can uncover daddy sa death kaand truth

They can also bring in a doppelgänger trope! Tried and tested, always brings in TRPs.

I don’t think that is possible now Maira is already 16 years ,so tthey don’t have time for all that to show ,if without taking this leap they had gone it would had been possible but not now,they took that Doppler for pl ,but now y would they take

The easiest and most time efficient way to wrap up this gen is reveal meher truth in front of Armaan and she will kill both Armaan and Abhira in the process. Ab meher ko jail ho ya police kills her in encounter kisi ko fark nahi padega

Again none of us know what's happening and this is said based on current storyline. Poddar house is actively used, only Goenka house is not shown.

It's a show which is running for 17+yrs so am sure if they really want, they can pull up tracks. None expected they would bring in a track like the current one which potentially lead to another time leap so anything is possible. It's a known that TRP of all shows drop during IPL (channel is also aware of it). Gen 4 started with low TRP's but with tight writing and characterization, they were able to pull back so it can happen with Gen 5 also.

Not necessarily. Also I didn’t mean a doppelgänger for Maira / Mukti. They can show one for Armaan or Abhira but I think Armaan will be the better option. Meher can kidnap Armaan, Abhira can save him. The possibilities are endless.

I guess if you have seen YHM, the doppelgänger track was introduced when the children were all married & it was more than 10+ years of marriage together.

Many shows have introduced this track just to bide time. It’s not unconceivable. They can also introduce a love interest or a crush for Mukti / Maira. This is something that happened in Rishta itself. Naksh and Tara were in college when they wanted to get married.

Kehne ke liye they can introduce any track — all they need to do is to invest some time, brains & money.

Muskaan is already working in a show as a lead toh uska chances bohotttt kam hai.

Also don’t think they'll be bringing back gen 3 characters.

Also in gen 2 krishna kaira relevation angle was scrapped too and they went for akshu birth

who knows if they just build maira and mukti's characters and just kill abhimaan by meher for gen leap

Goenka house is def getting renovated and writers are actively prepping for gen 5.

TRPs have been low and makers do have backup plan in case things go south
