Yaar i diligently watched Mannat for 50 episodes in the beginning. didnt like much so watched only ayesha's clips. Then got back during aman's track thinking it will be revelation. Then could not watch more than 10 episodes. I watched clips though. So I am not sure of DK.

But post leap I am following closely. I am more interested now only in analyzing how they are screwing up all the good chances of turning the story into right direction. Even now I am more interested in mannat uncovering the truths. More that vik. Because I think she will just accept him. More interesting will be when Dk become a real conflict in mannat's mind. Till now she doesnt know his feelings. Once she knows, and seeing how mannat is written, she will have HUGE conflict. It will get into "lost" zone where a lot of questions on morality will come into picture. Dk either has to die or free mannat off any guilt by marrying another woman. But dont worry I dont think writers will take it to that level. They cant handle it. They will just kill DK saving Dua.

I also hope DK to die rather than turn evil because Mannat will break again for believing a wrong person. DK might have to apologize may be for unknowingly ebbing mannat into lying...if they give his character that much importance. I am leaning towards DK's death.

Haan pre-leap episodes, show how being a cop he got Blackmailed, committed crimes , was the reason ARS was out of the jail, EB Mannat into lying to Vikrant.

All the trust he shows now, watch how he treated Mannat pre-leap until he met Dadi and found out the truth & how Dadi died. He infact finds Mannat hurt and locked in a trunk, Vikrant traumatized because of Vish and Malla, he still goes on to support Vish, Malla and threatens Mannat. He even supports Vish taking all the Saluja wealth to Mannat.

So, brushing all these under the rug and trying to show him as a goody too shoes is too hard to watch. He is no different than Malla or Y for me, atleast they are shown as criminals.

Edit - also don't miss the wedding episodes, the same guy who is shown to be defending Mannat, silently watches Vish CA her and Vikrant's outburst on Mannat. Not once does he even try to step in to reveal he EB Mannat into lying.

It seemed like he is in sync with mannat's eyes and emotions. They have very good understanding...thats all. I didnt watch preleap much so whatever is shown post leap, DK seems good to me.

Have you seen Pakhi post leap ghum? She is also all goody, she is supposedly changed but her inherent selfish ness never changed. all her talks/assurances to Virat have some agenda. I dont see such things in DK yet. He looks "agenda"less.

See this is why I want him get Blackmailed by the same gang and Vish again ala pre-leap. I do hope they find out about his confession and EB him.

It pains me how to-date he is never shown to be guilty of his crimes or how he ruined ManVik, how he enabled Vish, how he dropped Vikrant whom he claimed to have loved & searched for 25+ years like a hot potato and left him to Vish who manipulated him for 25+ years.

I vouched not to speak about him until something changes with regards to his character so this is my last comment

Ofcourse he will be in sync naa, he already felt his line was clear when he confirmed with Mannat if she knew about Y in Indore. Now he has further opportunity to showcase his greatness, and claim rights on Dua and Mannat which he did in today's episode. Surprisingly, Since pre-leap his loyalty and attachment only lies with Mannat though Vikrant was his brother.

Okay so one wedding ceremony broke them and another one will reunite them. Another one would be of DK and Mannat after all the truths are out in open and with smiling Neetu & Ronnie ready to bless the couple. Everyone will get their moment to shine. Vik will realize Mannat deserves better and his redemption would be to see Mannat's wedding, Mannat would be in debt of DK due to his constant support hence his bride and DK will back out at the mandap in KKHH style uniting Manvik and will shine as big bro and Mannat's friend. Neetu and Ronnie will also get their moment as Mannat's parents. Dua all happy with the truth of Vik and Mannat. After that they can go back to DK and Malla which they had to abandon preleap. All in SMFew moments of Manvik married lifeAnd DK dies. Another separation.

@red Totally not wrong. In this soceity you judge a successful man by some traits so expecting vik raise up to the ocassion is "biased" but valid . It is hard to understand him as damsel in distress.

Moor, stay with my thoughts from above. Damsel in distress will bring sympathy to a female because, we are conditioned to understand Why a damsel could be in distress. She is physically weak, may be confined to strict societal norms, too pure or gullible to understand the world due to the sheer circumstances. But why do you think a man can be called all this? No wonder noone calls a man like that. There should be some jusstification right? If he is like this because of the life long medication then fine. But no!! He is business tycoon yaar..comeon how on earth can be gullible? You see the disconnect? Not once, he falls for the wrong people again and again. How can you connect with him? Just because he is charming? and respected women long time back? Not enough. Audience will not accept him. Vik might be all that pure and honest. But it is not coming across in the way he was made to react to the circumstances. It is purely purely writers fault to write such meaningless emotions for him. That is my point. Thats where I THINK writers are not getting him right. May be they are women writers who do not know the pov of men?

The same writers are doing good job with Mannat. Yesterday you can connect to Mannat right away!! everything is what I would also say in her position. Audiences connect to that emotion....

Leave the twisted plots they already have. No one will commit the crimes they are showing, and no one will live under the same roof like that( i had to bring it :D). But they are writing Mannat in a way that is consistent with a woman in her position.

Your question: why does any actor have to accept the constant degradation of his character. - Not required to accept. Leave the show! But why should anyone lose their jobs? Will the audience pay for his bills?

I guess fools like me arent actors bcos we have boundaries and way too much of the stupid thing called moral compass.

Every actor sacrifices a lot to get where they ultimately reach. We do too. Bas we don’t get worshipped for our kaam kaaj 😫 nor earn zee millions.
