Gopal behaved like a baby throwing his toys out of the pram, crying to get attention by hook or crook. His outburst and fight with Pushpa looked so lame. 🙄🤨 Loved Pushpa though. She is determined to go against him and support Anurya 👏👏

Gopal is a really annoying character. What’s more annoying is that he hasn’t really done anything of substance in his life to have such hubris. In the Marathi version although the father was against the match his reluctance seemed justified. He even gave a series of reasons apart from samaj kya lagega to Arya as to why he didn’t agree. He talked about his health issues( Marathi version Arya had diabetes), he was worried what would happen to his daughter if Arya died early, also he talked About how Arya wouldn’t blend with Anu’s peers and friends due to age difference and vice versa, he also said how are you going to raise your kids in a older age. These were very valid concerns that he expressed.

But with Gopal his stubbornness seems to be some kind of ego hassle he has faced

@bold:God knows.

Although naagin being in the top 5 seems a bit suspicious cause no one seems interested in that show. No one talks about it and there aren’t even many posts regarding it on social media. Atleast ksbkbt is a classic show.

In TPR what you said is right. The father didn't have any ego issues though sometimes he also was irritating. But ironically whatever he said about Vikrant turned out to be right!

Sharma thinks he is the "man" of the house which was very apparent when he asked his wife not to use ginger in subzi just because he didn't like it. This shows his mindset. My way or the highway because I am the boss of the house, my wife and my daughter. He cannot digest the fact that they are going against him.

I also have a new thought.

Maybe Gopal is the male version of Ishwari ( the mother in Kuch rang pyar Ke aise bhi (who was essentially jealous of her daughter in law and had some really unhealthy emotional attachment to her son))

Maybe that’s why subconsciously he has always picked wrong boys for marrying his daughter like Bipin,Neel and Mohit. Guys he knows wouldn’t keep his daughter happy. So that she comes back to him with her problems even after her marriage

Maybe that’s why he has a problem with Arya cause he realises that Arya is 100 times a better man than he ever could be. That he would definitely keep his daughter happy. And once she is married to him anu wouldn’t need her papa for every little thing as she does now.

Not maybe. He appears to be the male Ishu smiley36 Ishwari also ended up in hospital and Dev broke up with Sonakshi. Later on at least thoda sudhar gayi. But she still competed with Sona in little things like what food to give Dev, blaming her at the psychologist's office etc. Sharma also sees Arya as a major competition. Dev had a problem balancing both relations and took extreme steps like what Anu did now. I hope she balances it after they get married.

@Bold That's exactly what is happening and also his khokla izzat comes in the way.

Even today he seemed more worried about what society will think about his daughter getting married to an older guy, not about her happiness. Her happiness is not even in the equation here. That itself says a lot about him. Parents are supposed to do everything for their child's happiness, like what Pushpa is doing.

Good they are taking a humorous approach else it would have been unbearable to watch everyone trying to placate the egoistic Sharma.

Pushpa's sense of humor is helping her now. Angry outbursts won't help in this situation with her husband and she knows it.

Her interaction with Meera was also hilarious. People like Meera don't know how to react so bolti bandh smiley36

Yesterday's scene in the office was good. I liked that Anu stood up for herself. It takes guts to come back to work after what happened and face people knowing some of them will ridicule her. That said I don't think in real life anyone will openly talk like this. Behind your back definitely. Workplace is a hotspot for gossip after all smiley36

Arya cleverly put the blame on himself so that his employees had no option but to feel guilty.

Respect for Neetu and Bharadwaj sir for not joining the others. These are the only two with grace and dignity.

True.

This is the one thing that I like about tstt in contrast to TPR is that she does have some respect in the office and there are people like Neetu and Bharadwaj that are backing her. Also her ideas are seen as original and something she came up with unlike in TPR where everything was indirectly fed to her by Vikrant

Also the way Arya has been speaking about trust and his past in general I don’t think tstt is going to turn him into a villain. So it’s interesting to see who the villain is in this story.

Jhende seems to have made a U-turn from his earlier path and is clearly in support of anu and Arya. But still idk with his character he might as well end up becoming the main villain.

But I really hope that tstt switches up things. Changes who the real culprit behind RN death is cause Arya and jhende have been the villains in so many versions. I hope tstt brings some originality. Some unexpected twist like: Someone in this forum had earlier suggested that Gopal is responsible for her death and that’s why RN takes rebirth as his daughter to even the record.
