Noyna seems to be inspired by someone ekta truly admires!! Done with her crap...

They’re trying to make it seem like she’s dil se majboor or something… she’s just a home wrecker and no amount of whitewashing will change or erase that. The only people who can have sympathy for Noina are the sort who would do things like her to get someone who isn’t available, into them and is with someone else.

They do have a certain budget allocated for actors and the trick with veterans like Sudhaji lies in their scheduling. Actors are not paid per episode always, they’re also paid by shifts. Leads are required for every episode, at least one of the two main leads is supposed to be present in an episode even if both can’t be. But it’s not the case with character actors who play either supporting roles or negative roles. They are required for their specific scenes and not all of them are with ensemble cast. So most of the time they shoot their part per their schedule and leave in one shift. If they’re doing multiple shows or some movie or are travelling or have other personal commitments they can even shoot their scenes in advance in one or two shifts and leave. They are also sometimes simply shown travelling or being busy with something or in an hospital.

They’re required primarily for their closeups and scenes where the audience needs to see them interacting with the cast but their BDs can do their long shots and cheat shoots. Besides, in shows that you mentioned, they are likely the most experienced and highest paid actors; PHs and channels specifically cast them based on their popularity knowing that they have a fan base despite being typecast.

Also, sometimes it’s these characters that make a show. Kahiin Kissii Roz for example was launched at a slot of 11 PM when it was unimaginable to think of such a thing, as in airing a show’s fresh episodes in what was essentially the graveyard slot. Most channels didn’t have anything on or if they did it was to air English shows meant for adults. Sometimes reruns of shows or Hindi movies meant for adults. KKR was a game-changer and it largely worked owing to the out of the box and unique vamp that Ramola Sikcand was. The actors who played the leads weren’t anything extraordinary or even popular enough on their own back then. Even then, Sudha Chandran was a more popular name than the rest of the cast combined owing to her extraordinary personal story.

So yes, a relatively small show could spend money on a popular name for having some star power in their show since they can’t entirely rely on newbies and unknown small time actors to make people watch their show. That’s an investment that they have to make if they plan on cutting costs by hiring new people who are yet to make it big. If they try to be extremely miserly in their budget they can’t expect the show to get noticed let alone succeed, get popular and on air for long.

If they can be paid by their shifts too then wouldn’t theat be even more cheaper than if they were paying them per episode? They could’ve shot some scenes of them for that 2 days back episode main scene in SN

A shift typically lasts about 12 hours from what I gather. 1 hour is for lunch, tea and snacks breaks. Barring multiple costume changes, most actors also get ready in one hour tops and they arrive in advance to get ready. So they typically shoot for approximately 9/10 hours easily. A lot of scenes spanning across multiple episodes can be shot in one shift alone especially if the same costume is used in a number of scenes. They can easily shoot scenes worth 4/5 episodes at least in one day in 2 shifts and I am talking about high voltage drama scenes with multiple camera angles and lots of different characters reacting with lines.

Regular scenes where characters are shooting monologues or they are thinking something that doesn’t require them to say anything but we hear their internal thoughts and the likes can be wrapped up faster too.

I don’t know what Sudhaji charges but say she’s charging 1 lakh per shift, she shoots for 3 shifts in a week and these scenes are aired over a course of 2 weeks in a daily. That’s 14 episodes she’s appeared in even if she’s barely there in them for 5 minutes tops per episode. That’s 70 minutes of footage she shot for in 36 hours.

When you pay her in shifts whether she does it in 2 days or 3 days, you pay her for 3 shifts and it’s 3 lakhs of payment for those 70 minutes of her onscreen. When you pay per episode that’s 14 lakhs for those exact 70 minutes of footage she shoot for in 2/3 days tops wherein you as the PH had to organise the whole shoot around her schedule and her availability since she had already informed you well in advance about her prior commitments or travelling plans or whatever.

Now, tell me if you were the PH, would you want to pay her in shifts or per episode?

Seriously the show seems less about mihir and tulsi and more about this psycho!

Noyna is a crook...and a manipulative person! They could have gone the darr way! Where srk was the lead, his obsession was the key focal point but still not shown to be positive!

Itv doesnot know how to write Grey characters, they are just trying to show a negative character, Grey by emphasizing their feelings above the leads.

People care about their because of kyunki 1... kyunki 2 viewers only got noyna and mihir!

I feel like we are just waiting and waiting since forever for this noina to leave so that we can get to enjoy TuHIr (maybe not lovey Dovey, maybe even together in conventional sense but in same frame! Whether they’re angry sad fighting taunting.. just anything. We are just waiting for TuHir scenes! But by the time we are rid of Noina, the season will end!!
