Mihir tulsi locked in a room can be such a good episode. 2 part epi where he begs and tulsi is firm, he's like you can't leave me blah blah, and during argument is comes out he don't remember anything about that night

So tulsi isn't convinced but she's suspicious that noyona did something..and once noyona is out she can be truthful to mihir and baapji that she needs time to think not immediately back with mihir

Baapji should give SN to Tulsi. Kick these trimurtis out. He should say "ye mera adhikar hai SN pe, so I will decide who lives in SN".

Who knows Baapji has plans to remarry Tulsi n Mihir, as Mahashivratri symbolises Shiv Parvati vivah too.

Sometimes they give us such good episodes as was the case the day before, but then there are episodes like yesterday’s which are just….

Noina seemed to be away most of the day from Mihir, then they meet finally at SN and she interrogates him. It’s implied it’s quite late at night, so exactly when did Noina book a courier to Surat? I wonder why no one is wondering how Pratap aks Baapji and his family got one of the two original court summons. There are only two copies and if Tulsi’s can be still shown at the chawl via a simple video call with Angad, Vaishnavi or one of the other girls from Kutch (Vrinda still strategically hidden) then it’s obvious that the copy sent was Mihir’s and how long does it take to figure out who could have mailed it?

I don’t understand why Mihir has to wear sunglasses even for what is likely an all night jagraan inside SN for a Mahashivratri Pooja!

I wonder if the whole thing about this marriage has to be rushed was a bluff to call the Viranis to Surat in the first place after those papers reached there. If that’s the case then did Saloni not know the Viranis are exposed? Why did she not warn them or at least tell her family she knew everything and was still going through with the marriage.

I really hope that’s the case because I don’t understand why the marriage track was picked up again so quickly when Saloni said she has an exam in 3 months to give.

Also I genuinely wish that Indian TV serials would stop treating marriage as a quick commerce transaction that can happen at the drop of a hat anytime, anywhere especially if it’s being done by proper consent of the two families involved and all the traditions are to be followed by them. First they had Saloni Dev get engaged on the same day as the wedding of her brother and SIL which is honestly very weird and rude.

In a typical Gujarati wedding, especially when it happens with the consent of the families, the first ritual is called Meethi Zubaan or Lagoo Lakhwanu, among other names. This traditionally involves getting men and women from both families to meet each other typically an odd number of 5/7/9/11 on both sides aka groom and bride each invite as many relatives. The relatives hug and feed each other a spoon of Kheer or masala milk sweetened with sugar/jaggery/honey to formalise the union of the two families via a wedding. This whole meeting typically happens at a community centre if the marriage is happening within the same community too. The families then get the upcoming nuptials registered at the same with a basic information - names of the couple, their parents and their current contact details. The date this ceremony took place and then both families pay an amount at the community centre which is very basic 501 from each side for the use of premises and registration and then if they so want, they can pay more which will be used to help those from the community who are financially struggling. It could either be via education, health care or Samuhik Vivaah ceremonies wherein the community members pay for the entire expenditure of the ceremony wherein multiple couples get married. They provide the food to their families, a select number of guests per couple, their wedding attire, the fees of the Pandit getting them married, the items needed for the ceremony. The family can even donate a specific amount for Gau Seva that’s entirely donated to the Gaushalas to look after cows.

The engagement, the wedding is always later. Also the whole thing is so bizarre that Dev is getting married now as well apparently without his grandparents and parents being present (all of whom are very much alive), while he’s getting what one might call into an arranged marriage. Dude’s so lazy he’s not eloping so I don’t understand why the makers are so lazy, miserly to not accommodate Saahil, Ganga, Hemant, Pooja at all. Also where is Dev’s sister Diya? Girl hasn’t even been mentioned since she got sent to the room pre leap. Did they forget she exists after locking her in there or something in SN? Is she even alive now after nearly 6.5 years of being locked up there? Does Maharaj Ji feed her in secret or something? Guess we will never know

But here they’re showing a wedding of a family set in Surat said to be very traditional even now but I didn’t see a single such scene in the whole of Kyunki across 2 seasons but so far Kyunki had never shown a bahu who was based in Gujarat itself getting married into the Virani family ergo I never raised the issue. But this time it was a bit jarring. Not to mention that most Virani brothers who got married in Mihir’s generation were rebellious - Mihir eloped, Hemant married a widow ergo a small Mandir wedding for him too, and Chirag also technically eloped while pretending he was shooting for a wedding sequence with Prajakta. Then came Karan’s generation. Shobha married a Punjabi (Vishal’s dad was one), Gautam’s numerous marriages also went without any such ceremonies. Same goes for the rest of the brothers. But most of these bahus were also based in Mumbai or from a different community. Tanya and Damini for example were Punjabis iirc.


Mihir getting called out was probably the only right thing in the entire episode.
