Star plus not to air Arushi episode..

Ever since the soap opera queen, Ekta Kapoor, announced her decision to dramatise the sensational Arushi murder case the blogosphere is filled with angry messages. There is outrage over how Balaji Telefilms could think of capitalising on a 14-year-old's death just for TRPs.

The hate messages against Ekta Kapoor continued and compelled the Information & Broadcasting Minister to step in and pull up Star Plus for running promos of the controversial 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' episode. Balaji Telefilms - previously hell bent on airing the show to highlight the issue of honour killing is now refusing to comment and Star Plus maintains there has been no attempt on its part to cash in on the bereavement of the Talwars.

The Star spokesperson said that allegations about the storyline on "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki" using the Arushi murder case were completely false and totally mischievous. Any suggestions to our serial drawing on this case are highly offensive and repugnant.

Nupur Talwar's plea to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Child Development Minister Renuka Chaudhry seems to have worked for now but given the unending twists and turns to the gruesome double murder case, this may be one story waiting to be told.
