Exactly. Maybe it could have even got an extension.

Star used to air good shows in weekends. Shararat/Everest/Gulmohar Grand. Merger has nothing to improve the quality of shows being aired.

They were very weird about this show from the beginning. They started promoting it last year and initially in the promos they used the Arijit version of Ae Mere Humsafar then the promos suddenly stopped and disappeared for a couple of months. Then picked up again like crazy and with a different song.

I think there was something that went wrong from the beginning itself behind the scenes. God knows what it was, but it was.

Why they dropped the promos then went for this massive forced promotional drive to end the show in a month is just… weird. It makes no sense to me. Would have been better just to air reruns of old popular shows - doesn’t matter if it’s a kid’s show like Shararat, Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Sonpari or Hatim or even dramas like Kumkum or Bhabhi etc than this waste of money or reruns of existing shows. Either would have made money rather than lose it.

Ambanis need to fire all the top management and bring in new ones. Cant believe that the last time a channel made waves was when Colors was launched with the kind of shows that shook up the traditional format of family shows. They went for hard hitting subjects like Balika Vadhu, Na Aana Des… now they’re reduced to the channel that alternates between Bigg Boss and Naagin. I don’t think they have a single popular daily atm that’s even worth a buzz.

Agreed! They need to take stock of what resounds with the public and what isn't it.

Oh they do have one -- but it is bringing in quite some negative buzz. For a channel that was famous for picking up hard hitting topics, it has now has become rather infamous. In my opinion, this is the lowest it can sink.
