Yes. Forced marriage is forbidden in Islam. But how can Mahid and his family know that Seher was against it, when she herself said : Qubool infront of all.

I disagree with this take. So many girls are forced to quit their education because of marriage at such young age. I am a muslim myself and I support raising the marriage age to 21. Sometimes extreme measures are required to tackle certain issues in the society. Atleast with 21 cutoff, many parents will have no choice but send their daughters to colleges. In my place , 20 is bare minimum. Girls don’t get married until they are well into their 20s or even late 20s.

Muslims are not exempted from this law. I have personally seen people conducting Nikah and then waiting till the girl turn 18 to get the marriage registered.

And if you think forced marriages shouldn’t be a thing, then why do you want seher and kausar to accept this?

And even if what you say is true. It is diff from state to other.

For your info a marriage in Muslims laws is complete when it is made in public . And the groom take permission of marriage from the woman guardian (father, brother, uncle, ... etc) . And the bride should accept it. Registration or not is just formality. Because the community will hold him accountable.

Seher started to accept this marriage. As for her mother if the guardian (father) and the daughter accept .she doesn't have a say in it.

- the alternative to marriage is the major sin route (intimate relations outside of marriage).

- if a woman ready biologically . And accept to marry it is the right choice over anything else

- I know many who marry . And continue there edu.

- Women fertility start to fade from 30 y. So if society want to grow in quantity. Early acceptable marriage is must.

- European have society growth problems because os such mindset like what you describe (late marriages).

- same in Japan, Korea.

- in USA, euro Alternatives to marriage are single moms. Or ellegitimate children everywhere.

- women career should not be priority over marriage live.

DadaJan didn't know she does not accept the marriage. But yes he know Mehid. And made the forgery for his best interest from his prespective.

For example when she want to complete her education . And want to become doctor.

Guardian's permission is not compulsory in Islam as Islam has no kanyadan. If parents permit, fine. Or else it is man and woman who decides.

In this case the entire wedding is illegal. The girl was threatened, her mother was kidnapped and thus forced. Mahid openly declares that he hates underage Shaadi, still it was kept secret from him. That means he too can apply for a talaq or nullification of marriage. In some cases groom can even get a refund ( denmohar . He doesn't have to give that).

+ Registration, wovi written registration is compulsory in Islam. A husnad can't touch his wife without that( as per law).

Community is not important than bride and groom in Islam. Allah ke naam pe Shaadi hota hai. Aur Allah ke samne jhoot, farzi... Major crime.
