I think Shehzada is the male lead too but I can’t be sure. I remember Krishna thanks to YHM but I don’t think I can even remember watching the male lead anywhere.

I can never understand women falling in love with married men🙄🙄. In turn, the second women will suffer in most of the cases.

Be it Hemamalini (EK would have been born differently if Jitendra was married to Hemaji😂😂, but Dharmendra ruined her marriage, courtesy Aapki Adalat), Smriti, for that matter Rekha's mother too. Also south actress Savitri (Mahanati movie is her story) ultimately she gets nothing. Her own kids were orphaned, her death is a tragedy again.

very crude comments here on barkha regarding the roles she plays. and no in naamkaran she was married to the ML but ml didnt accept her societally, thats the story of that show. she wasnt second woman

idk what people expect from a vamp who was here to taunt tulsi from day 1. and why would she leave mihir just bcause tulsi is back? its not just noyona's hope that she would marry mihir, its her time effort and plans and she must marry mihir to secure everything. that the natural way story goes- probably it happened with many people here that their ex bf/gf cheated. and they married to that cheating partner too. thats how it goes

and like ekpaheli said, the roles are very limited and rather a vamp than chachi maami like many are playing. fans can cry all they want bt barkha is no kid. she knows how to pay her bills. and ekta show gives that edge to actors who are serious. why would she leave?

lastly, actors have to agree to reprise their roles. like people are tlking about sujal kashish. maybe the actors arent comfortable? and rajiv dont look like he wants to act in shows.

I watched an IV of this senior journalist Simi Chandoke on YouTube, her main job was to cover these celebrities. Madhur Bhandarkar made a movie called Page 3, therein Konkana Sen Sharma’s character was inspired by her partially.

She said how most heroines know they’re only good enough for a career starting from their mid to late teens to say their early 30s if they’re lucky enough to maintain themselves and stay relevant enough. New girls come along every year as it is. That’s the time when they get a chance to be leading ladies and charge a fat fee. If they can manage to stay relevant they have a 10-15 year shelf life at most as a lead. Later on it will be art movies or side characters which are not demanding as it is, have better character actresses as competition and most importantly they’re not as well paying either.

So most popular heroines don’t marry until their mid to late 30s but by then most of the eligible bachelors in elite families are married off and these women are hardly willing to settle for an average middle class bloke. They want a certain lifestyle that they are used to and that means that they have no option other than to marry someone who has been married before. They have no qualms about breaking homes as they themselves have had numerous flings/affairs by then.

The idea of guilt doesn’t arise and the question of chastity is not on the table since they are not coming as untouched virgins themselves. If there are kids from a previous marriage they don’t mind those as well because they’re going in this with their eyes wide open. Besides kids from a previous marriage are better any days than random women turning up pregnant with your husband’s child in their belly.

For us normal people the whole thing is bizarre but for them these are practical arrangements.

Yeah, Hiten also admitted that he had told Gauri before their very first date about his divorce. He said when he felt that they had a real spark going between them he asked her out and got chocolates for her every day to woo her. I believe he said he got her her favourite Dairy Milk daily and as soon as she stepped out of her makeup van/room he was waiting for her with one in hand.

He told her that he would want to take her out for a date and then opened up about his history. He said he told her to take her time and if she didn’t turn up for the dinner he would understand and hope that they can still be friends and work together cordially without any hard feelings or discomfort.

She turned up for dinner and the rest as they say is history. She said she appreciated his honesty and thought it mattered to her that he was honest more than what his past was.

Personally I don’t think anyone is a bad person for playing a bad character. It’s a job at the end of the day and someone has to do it. Sometimes the person who plays these kinds of roles is in fact a good person really.

I remember when Pran passed away, all the people he worked with called him the nicest person irl ever. Waheeda Rehman even wrote this long article about him wherein she wrote how she had been terrified of him when she signed her first movie with him as she too had only ever seen him onscreen until then and his acting had left an impression on her mind regarding him.

But then she reached Shimla or Manali for an outdoor shoot for their first movie together and she saw Pran was in the lobby despite the producer pleading with him to go to his room. Puzzled she stepped forward and heard Pran saying that as long as he doesn’t see all the female crew members assigned to their rooms by the producer in the same hotel or those close-by he won’t so much as step into his room nor allow his luggage to be moved into it. If the producer can’t arrange it then he shall have the women share his room, wait in the lobby until he can arrange a flight back for himself to Mumbai and return his signing amount thereafter.

That’s when she was taken aback and found out from one of those women assigned as her own makeup artist that Pran reached the hotel in advance as he was a very punctual man and since he experimented with his looks a lot he was always nice to the crew especially those working hair and makeup. One of the senior makeup artists assigned to Pran had worked with him in a couple of movies before and she knew him for a gentleman so she asked for his help when she was informed that she and her whole team were to be provided mattresses to sleep in the lobby until the end of the shoot. They could use the common washroom for the toilet and in the morning one of the rooms allocated to the senior staff of the production house would be opened to them for an hour and they would all be allowed to use the bathroom to shower quickly.

Pran was absolutely livid when he got to know that this was the treatment of the female crew members and that’s when he said he would take it up with the producer himself. The hero, heroine hadn’t even arrived for the shoot yet and were flying in from somewhere else. By the time they got to the hotel, Pran had kept his word and moved into his Presidential Suite only when he had seen the women were given their own rooms in the same hotel and no more than two women were asked to share a room either so they can be as comfortable as possible. Waheeda Rehman said she would later go onto work with him in many more movies and she knew for a fact that she would be safer with this man who played a villain than she could be with even heroes sometimes and she can vouch for her fellow contemporaries as well sharing the same sentiment as her. She said that incident altered her perception and made her realise despite being an actor she fell for the trap of onscreen image as well. How later on the fear she once felt for this man was replaced by the deepest respect and affection for him as a person and her admiration for him as an artist only grew.

So Barkha can play such roles and still be a good person. As long as she delivers onscreen and we hate her for that, it shows she’s doing a good job as an actress. But it’s not to be taken as a character certificate for her as a person, as Barkha irl.

Possibly Zubin Irani had an EMA with a girl who was in her 20s. She married in 2000, probably she gave birth the same year or so.

Most of the people call her homewrecker on social media.

Anyways, as you said the kind of situation they were in they might have taken this decision. Also, Smriti has made lots of money from politics from years, so Zubin's business got boost bcoz of Smriti.

Coming to Zubin's first wife never coming on the media is bcoz of two reasons. One she was given enough money, second Smiriti always says she has three children and shares a good bond with her.

Still I feel, the second wife's life isn't easy.
